It was Christmas Eve at 6 pm, raining, and I was feeling extremely unwell. I had to come to this pharmacy to collect a prescription that was out of stock at Boots. The receptionist at my GP kindly called to change the pharmacy so I could get it here. At first, the staff member wasn’t able to find my prescription when I mentioned my date of birth. I then showed him the barcode from my prescription, and he asked me to write down my name and date of birth. I really appreciated this, as I was struggling to talk due to my illness and it made the process much easier and more comfortable for me. I was cold, hungry, barely able to speak, and completely exhausted. The staff member was incredibly kind and patient. He took the time to answer my questions about the medication, as I didn’t fully understand how to apply it, and he even checked with his manager to make sure the advice was correct. I sat down there for a while and applied the medication, feeling very grateful. On a day when I felt so unwell, being treated with kindness made a huge difference. This pharmacy is far better than others I’ve been to, where staff offered little help or advice and were not very friendly. I had been waiting three days for this prescription because it didn’t go through the system properly after my doctor’s appointment, and I had already been sick for days before seeing the doctor. So the support and care I received here meant a lot to me.
Great experience. Went in with a bee sting and the guy saw me within 5mins. Sorted me some antibiotics and I was on my way. Bit confused where the door was at the beginning but once I was in it's great 👍🏼
I visited last week after a few sips of wine triggered my asthma. Was seriously short of breath and wheezing heavily. The staff were amazing and helped me out straight away with a reliever inhaler, no questions asked. I was visiting from London and didn't have any of my own inhalers with me so you can imagine how panicked I was. The staff really were a Godsend. They watched over me until my airways opened up and I felt better, then allowed me to keep the inhaler. Forever indebted to the staff @ Wicker
I am extremely upset with the way I was treated during my recent visit. I came in to collect a repeat prescription for my child, and the pharmacist refused to provide the remaining medication, claiming it had expired. When I tried to resolve the issue, the manager’s behaviour was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of helping me understand the situation or offering a solution, I was met with rudeness and complete lack of empathy especially considering this was medication my child needed urgently. To make matters worse, while I was explaining my concerns, another staff member stood nearby and laughed. Watching staff treat a parent in distress like that was unbelievable and completely inappropriate for a healthcare environment. Please see the attacthed image for further clarification These are people entrusted with our wellbeing, yet I was met with disrespect, zero compassion, and no willingness to assist. I have since taken down details of what happened and will be raising this with my GP and the appropriate channels, because no one seeking essential medication for a child should be treated this way.
couldn't tell you how disgustingly rude the old man was when my partner was getting their flu jab - not the first time he was rude to us either. looked down on us bc we look young
