Halfords - Rotherham

Flat battery this morning.😬Checked Halfords website, correct battery in stock booked a fitting slot for 2 hours later same day. I anrrived at halfords,they were all ready and waiting, completed under 30 mins. Fantastic! 1st class service from all the staff in the store.

I was going to purchase a Dash Cam from Halfords and just wanted to check the fitting availability, as the halfords in Cortonwood had a 3 week lead time (circ £600 order)I made contact to customer support worker on 30/09/2025 who tried making contact with store but got no answer, she also emailed the store Manager with my query and left the message from him/her to give me a call., I waited until 14.00 next day still no call, again i made contact with customer service with my reference number, she tried making contact with the store again, no one picking up, she apologised and again asked me to hold the line, after 5 mins she said she had a store colleague on the line I will put you through, waited a further 5 mins and she returned, "The store colleague said you would be better off just going down" (6 miles away)as a loyal customer I expect much better than this, it was a simple query that could have been resolved easily, its a shame I didnt make contact prior to spending £500+ at Cortonwood this morning or you wouldn't have got that business, but you wont be getting anymore of my business, as im not prepared to run around the houses to get an answer on a simple query...

purchased a car battery on the 10th August 2025 from Halfords at Canklow Rotherham. On the 2nd of September 2025 I had my car stolen, the car was recovered on the 10th October 2025 . When I went to start the car up the battery was flat , I tried to charge it but it wouldn't accept any charge. I visited Halfords at Canklow where purchased and they put it on there charger to test and told me it wasn't a manufacturing fault and refused the warranty. I find it hard to believe that a battery that has been stood for 40 days refused to charge. I rang customer services and explained what had happened, also gave the police incident number, they still refused even though it was out of my control while my car was missing, they offered no help whatsoever or even a goodwill gesture to provide some compensation, even a discount on another battery would have been nice.

Just got a Halfords 40L coolbox, great value for money and great item too cools down pretty quick i would recommend this to anyone for car caravan boat,

Excellent service today. Had a battery change to my Golf GTE and it turned out to not be straight forward Staff were calm and helpful getting to the bottom of the problem and working out what was needed. They were friendly and made me feel confident that they could solve the problem. Their efforts were very much appreciated
