We have had experience twice before with Speights before and have always been impressed but this time it was a bit different as it was a bigger move. Lewis, Dean and Trigger came bang on time and set to work. No job was too big and they were genial throughout. Every task was met with a ’no problem' attitude, and every polite request was met with the same attitude. I just can’t express how fantastic these blokes were. Absolutely amazing. Their manners, their attitude, their camaraderie. Everything. They rebuilt my daughter’s bed, the master bed, my office desk, plumbed the washing machine and lifted unbelievable loads late through the evening. They even called head office for us to let us borrow the wardrobe boxes over the weekend to give us a chance to get ourselves settled. On what was such a stressful day for us they were all guardian angels that helped us through. I just can’t speak highly enough of the service that they delivered.

We cannot recommend Speights of Sheffield Removals highly enough. After being let down by our original removals company just before our move, Speights stepped in at the last minute and genuinely saved the day. We originally contacted Marcus, who was extremely helpful and reassuring from the very first conversation, as was his colleague Joe. Adrian, who organised the move, was outstanding. He planned everything impeccably, taking full account of the fact that we were downsizing to a smaller property with difficult access. His careful planning ensured the move ran smoothly despite the challenges. On the day itself, Ben supervised the move and was excellent throughout, calm, organised, and very professional. The rest of the team were equally brilliant, hardworking, and helpful, taking great care with our belongings. The fees were reasonable, especially given the short notice and the high standard of service provided. From start to finish, the whole team were a pleasure to deal with and turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a smooth and well-managed move. The week of 09 September 2025 Henry Speight moved us a distance of circa 340 miles. This was the fourth time Henry Speight moved us. The previous three moves were equally as fantastic. The recent move was to a destination which was not an easy nor short drive; arduous comes to mind. The team collected a lifetime of possessions from two locations. We needed help in disassembly of two large, heavy items and reassembly. The team set up our washing machine, dishwasher and one of our beds! All of this was done to perfection. The team did everything they said they would do; and more; much more. I have worked with many people in my life who are hard working and conscientious. The team of people who moved us are both hard working and conscientious beyond measure. We were surprised when we arrived at our destination there were items left we could not use. The items were collected and taken away with no fuss, no resistance. For this we are so grateful. The team moved us over the course of four days. The fourth day was long as they began their work at circa 04:00. They finished at 21:30. Then they commenced their return to Sheffield. My wife and I can only praise everyone at Henry Speight. Pleasant, sincere, trustworthy, professional, kind and respectful company to do business with. This is a true and faithful account of our experiences with Henry Speight. Myself and my partner had a move from Sheffield to near Kilmarnock in Scotland, we had a great quote from the Owner of Speight itself which beat any other quote we had. From the very first moment it was fantastic, Our movers Kyle and Morgan were amazing and so helpful, along with Jeff who was also great, they were very professional and all our precious belongings were looked after and packed with ease and due care. We were expecting a next day delivery but it was great news that the movers Kyle and Morgan could be able to do it same day, I’ve never seen two individuals carry so much boxes as we had, they helped us move into our new house with ease. I would highly recommend Speight to anyone reading this, such a professional company, great staff members and excellent at moving. I would like to give a shoutout to Kyle and Morgan for such a great day, such a wonderful experience and a good laugh. It made our move less stressful and more at ease. Speights moved us last week and the whole process was faultless. Great introduction and quote from Robert, which gave me confidence in the process and the company. In the lead up, nothing was too much trouble and they supplied packing materials and additional boxes on request. Marcus in the office was always friendly and helpful. On the removal days Bailey, Mick and Lewis were fantastic, they worked really efficiently, not one thing was damaged or broken and they were the nicest guys to have in our home.The price was great and I would have no hesitation using them again and recommending.
