We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The staff is friendly and nice. The hotel and the rooms were spacious andreally cleaned. For the price we paid it was really worth it + we had access to the gym and spa. It's not in the city center but 10 min walk from thé train station.
Unfortunately, I can only recommend this hotel to a limited extent. There are a few things that don't quite add up here. First, the positives: The building looks nice, and the breakfast room and bar are good. I can't comment on the spa. At first glance, the rooms look very good, and the box-spring bed is truly first-class. The duvets and pillows are also good. Mediocre: The safe is locked, so you can't just lock something away; you have to get a key first. Some of the towels are really old. Breakfast is okay, but nothing more. Everything you need for a quick breakfast is there. But there's no variety. It's always the same. No go: The heating in the room is a joke. It's a small electric radiator that switches off automatically after 15 minutes. The room is therefore cold in the evening and there is no heating in the bathroom. It's always cold there. My experience: I was given a room that was cold. A lot of dust swirled up from the top of the wardrobe when I put my suitcase on it. There was almost no hot water when I turned on the tap at the sink. The toilet flushed, but without any power. Nothing went away?! The shower in the bathtub had hardly any water pressure for showering. The drain was broken and the cover was held in place with a screw. There were mould stains around the bathtub. I had a towel that was fresh, but it had dried-on secretions on it that were clearly unidentifiable. The management was very nice and understanding and gave me a new room the next day. I had to pack everything up again and move over. The room there was much better, but also cold. I got a second radiator, which I also placed by the bathroom door so that it wouldn't be freezing cold in there. Flushing the toilet was also difficult in this room, but at least everything went down. The shower is a joke. Water-saving shower heads make perfect sense, but you should at least get some water when you shower. The shower is open at the front, as there is no curtain. Flooding is inevitable. Conclusion: The hotel lobby is currently being renovated or remodelled. So I think something is being done. I stay in many hotels and have never written such a long review. But so many things are going wrong here that I feel compelled to do so. Incidentally, the staff at reception are extremely friendly. Of course, it's not their fault, but rather the hotel's structures. Investment is simply needed here!
The room was nice and clean however rest experience with the hotel was horrible. The personnel of the hotel was unprofessional. I have been in the hotel for five days and I reported issues in the front desk every day. Horrible experience per whole stay time. I bought an offer with breakfast but when I was, the food was cold, bread was unfresh, and an empty box for coffee pads. You don't know who the personnel are or who is the guest as they are wearing normal casual clothes. On the second morning when I tried to go for breakfast, the staff didn't let me in as someone used my room number. I had a lot of arguments with them and nobody was helpful. When I finally got to eat breakfast, the tables were full of dirty dishes and I couldn't sit and eat something. I met 3 managers of the hotel but they only listened to my issues and didn't help. The restaurant 'tavern' was horrible, we waited 20min for service, when we received food, it was cold!!! The steak was cold and chewy. I am not recommending this tavern and hotel. Oh swimming pool, yes it was disgusting, changing room so dirty, showers broken with fungus everywhere. Damaged walls near the pool with fungus. The staff who should be cleaning the changing room, was hiding by the lockers and spending time on the phone. I ordered a room service to have nice clean bedding and towels, they didn't do it. When I reported the issue again, they finally sorted. Dirty dishes outside the rooms with not nice smell. Horrible experience in this hotel. If management will say that they will fix the issue, do not trust them as they are not doing. I spent 5 days and 5 days reporting the issues.
My room was nice and clean. Small but cosy room. They prepared only 1 towel for 2 of us, and the TV is not smart, No screen sharing, no YouTube/Netflix. If you ca live with out it, you going to be happy here 😁(I went out to buy a Fire TV stick)
Great hotel with very professional staff. A lovely room with a nice view. Will definitely stay again if I’m visiting. The bar/restaurant is a must, best chicken burger I’ve ever had.
