Cineworld Sheffield

My first time in IMAX 3D. What an experience! Friendly staff, comfy seats. Plenty of restaurants next to the cinema. Free carpark.

Horrendous experience, first time visiting today. Music in the lovvt was far too loud, almost deafening. Not really bright enough in the lobby as well, feel sorry for anyone with sensory disorders coming here. Screens for ticket collection not working. No cohesive queuing system for the counter, meaning 3 people queue jumped ahead of us and staff were not bothered. Only 2 members of staff on, eventually managed to collect tickets, girl was stony and borderline rude. Went to go upstairs as she directed us to and we got literally yelled at by another man about tickets and showing him tickets. Would be helpful if he was actually stood in the right place, don't expect to be yelled at after being directed by other staff. He yelled at other people after us too, shows this system doesn't work and you need more staff. Eventually we were allowed upstairs, no staff upstairs to direct us to screens or to know if it was ready. Went to enter screen 20 minutes before the film and was yelled at by another staff member to wait. Would help if there's actually enough staff around to have asked. Screen was clean and was quieter with no deafening music when allowed in. I am visually impaired and you would have thought I'd have asked for the heavens to be moved when I asked for the audio description headset. Will be sticking in future with our usual cinema, will not be coming back here in a hurry after today's experience, also considering you charge nearly 3 times as much for tickets. The interior is nice but it's all looks and no substance unfortunately.

Big cinema with lots of movies to choose from with a variety of showing times. I watched Mission Impossible - The final reckoning on the huge IMAX screen. It was amazing. Great sound and huge screen. Have been back recently to see Jurassic World Rebirth. Car park is large with plenty of spaces. It feels very modern and clean. The prices for popcorn and drinks are just too expensive!

Been coming to this cinema for many many years. Never had a worst staff experience than today. Got my usual popcorn and drink order, bit of popcorn got spilled by the server so when he came back I asked politely for it to be topped up (as we all know popcorn is very very cheap but very expensive in a cinema). The server, I didn't catch his name, immediately said he's not allowed to do that he will get the team leader and accused me of patting it down to fit more in... Kept just saying he'll go get the manager and that they can't do it because of stock take... Counting each corn now? I just stood there dumbfounded and eventually had to walk off with my half filled popcorn in disbelief.

Cineworld Sheffield is always a great place to watch a film. The cinema is clean, comfortable, and well organised, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and everything runs smoothly, from tickets to refreshments. It’s a relaxed, reliable cinema where you can just sit back and enjoy the movie. Highly recommend for a great night out.
