disappointing from start to finish. sportsshoes.com is nowhere near No.1 Used shoes, slow delivery, extra charges Paid £4.99 and waited days for delivery, received used & defective shoes, paid £4.99 for returns. Not sure who and how they claiming themselves a No1 sports shoe retailer in the UK? Avoid them for: No quality check: Got a used & defective ON Running pair, clearly someone wore them before! Paid return: Had to pay £4.99 just to return the faulty shoes (refund only after chasing emails). Slow delivery: They charge £4.99 and still take 4–5 days to deliver — not even next day! Overpriced: Other UK retailers sell cheaper with free next-day delivery & free returns. Customer service = useless: Took ages to respond, zero accountability. Mislead advertising: Their “No.1” claim feels like marketing fluff — tons of other customers saying the same thing. poor quality, slow service, extra charges everywhere. There are way better and more reliable options. Avoid sportsshoes.com at all costs.
They sell defective shoes don’t buy!! My running shoes broken after only 2 months. I email them time ago and no answer !!!! They ask me to send the shoes, and where is my money back ?????
Great experience, ordered my shoes, next day delivery, fantastic service. I needed my invoice which isn't readily available (might be worth adding to the account/my orders section of the website in future), so I contacted support in the afternoon, first thing the following morning I had a polite and helpful email from James with my invoice attached. I've seen reviews complaining about sizes, this was my only concern ordering online, but I did do a bit of research and tried some different shoes on in a couple of local sports shops, then as I have Vitality Healthcare I came here and received my discount. Might be worth reviewing your returns policy, as for those that are not fortunate enough to be able to try shoes before they order, this is a risk and are less likely to make that purchase if they have to pay for postage and the return.
Beth and Angela resolved my product fault issue in a really quick turnaround time, great communication throughout, and a pleasure to deal with. First time as a customer of Sportsshoes, I will definitely be using them as my go to from now on as they provide quick delivery, quick returns, and have friendly customer support staff.
Back in October, after a visit to podiatry, I discovered I had osteoarthritis in my ankles, and I had to purchase more supportive footwear than the Adidas I currently had. On a trip to Australia with my wife's work colleagues, I was recommended Hoka as a great all round shoe for podiatry issues. After returning home, I promptly returned the Oncloud 5 that I had purchased from Footlocker, as I didn't really like the feel of them to begin with, they felt cheap and plastic. I purchased Hoka Clifton 9 from SportsShoes, as they were recommended by a colleague of mine, as he and his family are avid runners and use Sports shoes regularly. The shoes arrived promptly, and the Hoka brought my ankles so much relief and support, like the podiatrist said a good pair of trainers would. Fast-forward to May, with barely 5 months wear, the Hoka started to delaminate. I contacted SportsShoes on 14th of May, and they replied later that evening with a return label. I thought that was very good of them, and prompt. On 22nd of May, the Hoka were condemned, and they didn't have the same shoes to replace them with, and I had £150 store credit. All I could find on the website was another pair of Oncloud, which, given the appearance of the pair I replaced with the Hoka, wasn't good for me, that and the £170 price tag. I asked for them to be exchanged for the Hoka, which was refused. Even though I have student discounts, they were refused. I asked for a refund as I couldn't find anything suitable, which was refused as there was no way of issuing it after 6 months. The arrangement with Hammaad, was that they met me in the middle at £160. On the website, the sizing was generic. All sizes were the same (see attached) so I ordered a 10 as a replacement. When it arrived, it was like putting my foot into a canoe. When I went back to the SportsShoes website again to look at the sizing, they had been updated, with "True to Size" as indicated by their testers. This obviously wasn't the case, as I took a 10, which is normally sized up for Gore-tex or waterproof shoes. I ordered a 9.... Much too small. So I went through the returns process again and ordered a 9.5. A 9.5 in a shoe that is true to size. The shoes arrived, and on trying them on I noticed the right shoe was damaged (see attached). At the point of ordering the 9.5, I had made it clear that should there be an issue with the replacement, that I wouldn't be reordering, and they could keep the money. This didn't go down well with my wife, so today, 17th of June, I sent in the proof of postage to Hammaad, and indicated that I would not be wanting a replacement, and to refund the money via bank transfer. Hammaad replied indicating that would not be happening, so I have now indicated that I will be pursuing my refund through the courts under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I purchased a replacement today, 17th of June, directly from Hoka. Never ever again will I use SportsShoes.com. The colleague who recommended SportsShoes.com is affronted and has made it clear to me, he will be reviewing his relationship with them. 34 days without usable footwear, which will easily run into 40, is an embarrassment. And the update of the OnCloud rubbish sent as a replacement can be seen in the photos. They genuinely were the worst shoes I ever had on my feet. Squeak, Squeak, Squeak.... Yeah and then some. They made Hoka look impressive, and that's a tall order. So much so, I actually tore them to shit and binned them.
