Update August 25: Visited 3 times this week (despite being 40 minutes away). Delightful meals every time as well as a takeaway for supper one night. Staff are so polite and helpful (and a good giggle as well). Another two holidays booked in the area next year and cannot wait to return already, in fact we wish we lived nearby so that this was our local. Keep up the good work. May 2025: We booked to visit in advance whilst we were on holiday locally. The staff called to confirm specifics of the booking within 5 minutes of placing it online. Upon arrival staff were welcoming and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. The pub was very clean and staff attentive throughout our meal. The food was delicious with great portion sizes. We had such a lovely time we booked a return meal before leaving. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks for everyone's assistance, especially Mia and Chloe.

Lovely atmosphere on a Wednesday Music night. Land lord was welcoming and communicated well throughout the evening.

We had Christmas day lunch and everything was just perfect. The food was excellent quality and plentiful. The staff worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and hope to book again for next year. Sandra & David Williams. Thank you

Just had a really nice Sunday lunch. (Two meat). Services was great. Really warm and friendly. Food was piping hot and really tasty. Had dog with us also. Recommended.

Booked here while staying locally. I booked using the app for 5 people and 2 dogs. The pub rang me to confirm. Friendly staff. We arrived and were shown to our table. A little disappointing but we were sat in a corridor which wasn’t very welcoming. But we had dogs and I think the bar area was full. The rest of the pub looked nice. However a good choice of food on the menu. We had braising steak, gammon, lasagne and hunters chicken. Could not fault the food. The braising steak melted in my mouth. Would happily eat here again.
