From pulling up we were welcomed by a friendly owner who took the time to chat with us. Explained all the facilities, the shop etc and path to a lovely sandy beach. they even post the tide times. we will definitely go back. The adjoining Mr Moos ice cream palour has excellent ice creams. and in the morning they do a brilliant cooked breakfast. Friday and Saturday the Dragon carry out do authentic asian meals such as bangbang chicken.
Many thanks goes to Mr Moo’s for a wonderfully relaxed 7 night stay in Percy’s Paddock on a fully serviced Touring Pitch. Keith and Barbara were friendly and welcoming (Keith is always up for a bit of a chin-wag too). The site is kept clean & tidy and the facilities were maintained that way also. There is a walk to the beach which is ideal for dogs (but our Rocco is a bit lazy so we didn’t get to try that). Had a bit of exciting weather (storm Amy) during our stay but even that didn’t dampen our enjoyment. The free wi-fi is a bonus as most other sites limit you to just an hour (and then charge a small fortune after that). Mr Moo’s is perfectly placed as a base from which to explore the North York Moors and beyond. We look forward to our next stay in the not too distant future.
Nicely laid out site, staff in Mr Moos are lovely, we only had coffee but food looked impressive. Welcome from the gentleman on his golf buggy was a bit curt…we didn’t feel welcomed, could be a regional thing. We stayed two nights. Good price @ £21 a night without EHU. Showers and toilets were good, wash up facilities good. Road noise was very intrusive. Great walk to the beach and as far as you want to go in either direction. Highly recommend The Board Inn, a 15 minute walk, friendly staff, amazing food and dogs welcome.
One of the best caravan sites I’ve been to! So peaceful & quiet, exactly what we like, lovely big grass electric pitches with plenty of room for the kids to play, and a short walk to a very private beach where you won’t see many people. Now for the staff, the old fella on site is a legend and will do anything for anyone, loves a chat and we welcome it, kids think he’s great, he even got my eldest some cream for her wasp sting. The staff in the ice cream shop are all very friendly & welcoming. We will be back every year from now on and hopefully more than once.
On arriving in the carpark I could immediately tell the place was well kept and tidy. We drove the directions as requested and there were signs everywhere. The packs were named before arrival and were informative. Upon reaching our pitch we were.met by a lovely gentleman by the name of Keith. He was cracking jokes from the off. He helped us more than we could thank him for. Without his knowledge.and insight I was like a fish out of water. Thanks again Keith. The site was very clean and well maintained. It was our first time caravanning and we were not let down. The other patrons were friendly and polite. The ice cream parlour was clean, the staff friendly and welcoming. Theres a huge selection of icecreams to choose from aswell as other delicious foods. The pastries were awesome but the ice cream stole the show. Its worth the drive out just for that. Theres local food outlets that deliver there so its not as though pizza under the stars isn't possible. The only regret we have is we didnt stay longer but we plan to rectify that next year. Definitely going back.
