Skipsea Sands

First time we visited but sure won't be the last we stayed in our campervan .. There was some activities closed and you had too pre-book some activities due too the government rules . You can get too beach but it was a little dangerous you have to walk along edge of cliff top that is corroding but we did it with our 6year old grandson , other family's had younger children with them . The shower block was ok (ladies) BUT there wasn't enough drainage for shower water so it flooded all the toilets and with toilet roll been thrown on floor it was swimming about so not nice to stand in it . Don't think they got cleaned while we was there . The park is good for kids and there's a little pond with ducks n geese around it (it is fenced off) . Shop had plenty in at reasonable prices and there's also a little fish n chip shop though we only had chips so can't really comment. Pitches are a good size with electric and water taps each pitch as bushes in between them so theres no arguing with your neighbours that you've pinch a bit of there grass 😆 🤣..All in all enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely love it here, dog friendly 🥰 great restaurant on site,loads for the kids. And thanks to local caravan owner a make shift path has been made just down the way on the front to the beach.

On arrival, our allocated pitch had a huge troff where it looked like someone got stuck and wheel spun out. With check in being from 2pm I feel this should have been checked and filled before we arrived but the reception team were great and relocated us to another pitch. The shower heads need replacing as the water sprays in every direction other than down. The extractor fans in the showers didnt work so was like a sauna in there. The chemical toilet staion was blocked and full of floating waste which was pretty awful. The park and staff are amazing but maintenance needs improvement.

This is my first time here and my last a big disappointment in many ways. First of all the choices for eating are far and few between no option for just having a takeaway which is a pain when you have been out and don't want a big meal. The nearest place that does a delivery service is in Driffield. If you are a family on a budget then don't come to Skipsea Sands. Not worth it

Unique experience, great time had by the whole family, will return to parkdean and Skipsea Sands, good value!!
