Just wanted to say thank you to the staff especially the lady platform manager who was incredibly nice and helpful but I didn’t get her name sorry. I lost my headphones and she retrieved it from the edge of the rails. Thank you once again for being so understanding and nice.

Nestling among the breathtaking beauty of the hills. Known as the 'Gateway to the Yorkshire dales' , Skipton is easily accessible by train thanks to excellent and very frequent rail links with Leeds, Bradford, Carlisle and London. Roads and parking can become crowded during market days & Bank Holidays so be warned. Skipton has a byegone charm of a typical bustling North Yorkshire Market town. It has one of the most complete castles in the country, well worth a visit, as is the nearby Embsay steam railway. Relax with a stroll along the canal which runs into the centre or retail therapy with the numerous local shops along the market square. For the more energetic, they can hike for miles along the trails and hills of the Yorkshire Dales, discover a new you?

Lovely station which provides frequent services to Leeds, Bradford and Cumbria. Plenty of seating available, and adequate shelter. Very easy to get to the town centre from the station, although direction signs may be beneficial.
