Hilary Finney was trained at the Cordon Bleu School of Cookery in London and has over 30 years’ experience of cooking and catering for many people and events. The kitchen is specially adapted for you to cook together not in individual units, homely yet practical, lending perfectly to Hilary's approach to cooking; the recipes you'll learn can be easily tweaked and adapted to produce stylish food that is deceptively easy to cook for both everyday meals and fine dining at home.

Harmony House is situated in a small rural village 6 miles south of York where you will find the perfect antidote to City life. You can choose your own date, time, fellow students and dishes to cook. You can either eat the food together in our conservatory or take it home to eat later. Weekday classes only have a minimum of 4 persons and weekends 6 persons.

We have some workshops for individuals to book on to which are on eventbrite.

You can make the most of your cookery day and stay with us in our 4 star gold award bed & breakfast or if you are thinking of a self catering holiday near York this is an ideal activity day for the some whilst others visit the railway or aircraft museum!
