Stayed in a holiday cottage in Speeton, very quiet hamlet not far from the coast. We brought our dog to enjoy the sandy beaches around this area. Footpath from the village crosses farm fields, sometimes containing cows. We got so far heading to the beach before it became very steep and the ground looked like it would break your leg. Cliff path was available but we could have lost our dog going that way. We travelled to Reighton which was up the road, carpark in the holiday park with a better path down to the beach. We toured the local towns of Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington which the latter we found was the best for seaside fun.
Fantastic parking and lovely walk down to beach or to Bempton cliffs
Stayed here for a week in a lovely refurbished Chappel, could not wish for a more idyllic place with loads.of nature on your doorstep
Unfortunately Speeton was very icy, so didn't stay
