York Naburn Lock Caravan Park

Great communication & instructions when arriving late. Spacious pitches. We were on a fully-serviced pitch. Lovely, quiet location. Stunning shower block with private bathrooms. Really nice bonus 🤩 Staff are really friendly & helpful. There is a shop at reception although we didn’t use on this occasion. Only negative for us was the metered electricity. We’re not a fan of this method. Would recommend & will visit again.

The site is really well planned, the pitches are spacious & set so that you do not look onto your neighbours. The facilities are outstanding! Very clean toilet area with electric point for straighteners for example as there is a hairdryer. The pot wash area is heated with plenty of hot water, there is also 2 washers & 2 driers here. The shower cubicles take this site to outstanding in my opinion; each little room has a large walk in shower, toilet, hand basin & vanity mirror. It is all heated & in excellent condition. We took our cycles & there is the trans penine track about 10 minutes cycle away going to York or Selby. The pub in Naburn is welcoming with a typical bar food menu that is well cooked & well priced. Great location near the river with plenty to do.

We have just stayed 3 nights at Naburn Lock Caravan Park. After reading the previous reviews we had high expectations and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. The new shower/toilet facilities are superb we love the individual spacious rooms with shower, toilet and sink lots of hooks to hang everything is a bonus. Immaculately clean throughout. Location is great we cycled on the designated cycle path one day to selby the next day to York. Bus stop right at the entrance is good. Only a short 10 minute walk to the local pub partly along a grass verge then a path. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again

Our first time staying at Naburn Lock. Stayed on a hardstanding with electric hookup. Lovely peaceful site with a short walk down the lane to Naburn Locks where you can have a walk or a cup of tea in the tea rooms there. Ideally located for York, we were visiting a relative at Uni and the drive in took 7 just minutes. The site itself is within a picturesque village and despite it's proximity to York feels very rural. The hardstanding we were allocated was very level so we were literally able to drive on , park up and sleep. Toilets and showers were superb, with each shower rooms containing shower, toilet, sink, hand dryer and pull down seat. Small shop on site was handy as I forgot my hairbrush. There are codes to access the site and the showers, toilets, sinks and laundry rooms. This was very convenient as we didn't have to worry about getting back before the gates closed. All in all a well organised, clean and peaceful site which is a great vase for visiting York and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales and coast. We would definitely stay here again

Just got back from a wonderful trip to york, the market, and Christmas lights werea joy. The naburn lock caravan site was fabulous, great staff very very helpful ( special thanks to Kevin for all his help) The amenities so so good, first time I've not used our caravan shower so I could enjoy the large brand new shower suite ;) Love adult only quiet site, with large pitches. Will go again xx
