Lovely museum, with lots of interesting history of the area. Includes a working harmonium!
Brilliant , took us 2 visits to see the whole museum .
A great museum in a small space. It covers the geology and history of the land, with photos and pieces bringing the history alive. Artifacts from the mining and farming communities. There's pieces on some of the old families from the Dale too. Staff really friendly and helpful. They make the visit.
Asked for some advice on a specific river walk my wife was told to read a book ! Avoid not helpful if they are like that asking for advice cant think what they are like if anyone wants to visit
Paid £5 each to read some boards in a room basically. Didn't think it was worth paying for. We expected a lot more. Been to much better places with voluntary contributions and fab volunteer tour guides.
