We had a lovely visit to the Yorkshire Lavender Field today, and it exceeded our expectations in every way! The whole experience was peaceful, vibrant, and perfect for all ages. It’s incredibly family- and pet-friendly, with wide open spaces for kids to explore and plenty of spots for a relaxed stroll with your dog. There’s a generous car parking area, so parking was stress-free even on a busy summer day. One of the highlights was the freedom to take photos anywhere — no restrictions, which made it a dream for photographers and Instagram lovers alike. The fields are stunning, full of vibrant purples and buzzing bees, and there are whimsical sculptures and seating areas scattered throughout. The on-site café was a delightful surprise — great selection of food and drinks, including some lavender-themed treats, all served in a welcoming atmosphere with beautiful views of the countryside. Highly recommend for a day trip with family, friends, or even solo. Peaceful, scenic, and uplifting — we’ll definitely be back!

This beautiful lavender farm sits on a hillside overlooking the breathtaking scenery of the Vale of York. I came here on a day excursion, and spent a lovely afternoon exploring it. The garden, with its neat beds of lavender and more exotic plants in the Mediterranean dry garden, was a good place to start. It was fun to wander along the wibbly wobbly way, and there's a lavender maze and a snakes and ladders game that children will love. There were even some visitors with easels and canvases painting the wonderful views. The lavender fields were a delight to walk around: lots of different varieties, the humming of bees, and the wonderful fragrance all around. There's a pond (but dried up after the long hot spell), picnic tables, and a children's play area with climbing apparatus, wooden shelters and a make-believe stove. Loved the quirky cricket artwork! After my walk, I cooled off in the tea room with a refreshing elderflower drink. They serve some nice looking cakes here, and lavender tea and scones. There are also lavender products for sale in the gift shop, where I bought two little bottles of lavender essential oil. There's a decent sized car park, and it's free. The people I met here, from the gardeners to the staff running the café and the shop, were really helpful and friendly. All in all, a very enjoyable visit!

A nice little place to visit. Not an awful lot to see, so not a place where you will need all day. Two to three hours at most. Has a lovely little café which serves very generous portions of cake etc. The lavender looks very pretty when in full bloom. Many different varieties blooming at different times of the year giving the place a wide timescale of best time to go. Dog friendly too.

Our second visit. A nice place to visit for a couple of hours or more. On a hillside so be mindful of this for those with mobility issues. Good facilities, shop, cafe etc but unfortunately we had a poor experience in the cafe this time. ( Order not received in the kitchen due to technical issues which they knew about but no one checked each order was going through! Which lead to a very long wait 30/40 mins.)

Lovely place to visit to spend some quality time with friends and family. Booked the picnic package. Wish we had a way to choose our choice of cake and sandwiches when booking online. The afternoon tea was great! Lemon lavender drizzle cake - a bit dry. Kinda disappointed with the general care of the farm: the pond was left neglected although it had some pretty waterlilies.
