Thimbleby Shooting Ground

Absolutely fantastic place spent a half day on our works xmas do clay pigeon shooting. Great club house really good food excellent service. Instructors for the shooting were very knowledgable and expalined everthing to us novices clear and made the experience a great occasion.

What an amazing setup! Had our first shoot lesson over at Thimbleby and couldn’t have went better. The venue & staff are as great as each other. A big thanks to our instructor Russ who was professional with his approach to teaching us, and had us shooting pretty well at a beginner level! We will be returning for sure.

It was very busy when we arrived, they were hosting a corporate day. Lunch wasn't being served until 12.30pm but were still serving the breakfast menu, plenty to choose from, I had the light breakfast and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and professional, if I was to nit pick, had to help yourself from a machine for tea and coffee, I'd prefer a pot of tea. Definitely visit again to sample lunch menu, also really clean for amount of people there.

Booked a lesson with Mike Wilson for my stepdaughter and he was excellent. A thoroughly thought out session for a 12 year old and really attentive to basics, to handling and then to the shooting of the clays. Would highly recommend and will definitely be following up with another few lessons.

Great day out. Really nice, well organized facility. We had a group of 4, and our experience ranged from very little to never held a gun before, but our instructor Mike was absolutely amazing and got the best out of everyone. We all managed to hit a few clay birds and really enjoyed the day. I'd recommend this to anybody, of any ability. Thanks to Mike, who's patient tuition, encouragement and fantastic personality really made the experience what it was.
