Thirsk Racecourse Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

The site is certainly in a great area with easy access to the town and shops etc. We were apprehensive once we read some reviews, actually we were right to be, our welcome was mediocre not like most other sites cheerful and chatty, although still polite albeit slightly abrupt. The facilities are completely out of date basic is polite, the showers I certainly wouldn’t use the bathroom in our motorhome is bigger and much nicer, the toilets are definitely basic and claustrophobic. Certainly not worth the money paid such a shame as this stop was the last of our fabulous holiday 🥲🥲🥲

Spend 4 nights in this location and all I can say is fabulous, to start with the site itself had everything you need, very pleasant staff members, clean and tidy site and the shower and washing facilities were very good. The location of this site was fantastic, 2 min walk into Thirsk market square plus close proximity to Helmsley, Harrogate and North Allerton to name just a few. This will definitely be a site we use again in the future.

Perfect location,site clean and well drained,however the toilets although spotless are desperately in need of an update,not the usual caravan club standard, and of course one has to move on raceway which is a faff I'm sure that the caravan club make enough money from the site to put some of their own facilities in which could be locked on race days

We love Thirsk it's a beautiful place but would not visit this site again. Shower's are desperate for an upgrade & not very clean. Female member of staff not very welcoming or friendly she just didn't want to engage in conversation at all.

Warden lady, really lovely and helpful to my needs. Toilets & showers not the best but that's racecourse facilities. Very clean. Thank you for your help
