AVOID! Don't ever park here! Parked here 2hrs before car park closes (closes at 20:30) and went to machine to buy two hrs, but machine would only allow me to pay for 1hr. Paid and displayed. Departed car park after 1hr 45mins and got a £60 fine.
Caution!! Avoid this car park! After trying to charge our car and spending 15 minutes trying with various cables, none of the charges worked, consequently we left. We then had a £100 fine. This car park is not worth any element of beauty in the local area, go to the other one. Parkingeye you should be ashamed of yourself! Lack of moral compass.
BEWARE! I purchased a ticket and overstayed by 7 minutes. I received a £100 fine, which is ridiculous. There is no way to pay for extra time once you return to your car. The government's own Parking Code of Practice says there should be a 10 minute grace period before a fine and a maximim of £50 (halved if paid within 14 days). Disgraceful, especially given that it is a mostly empty car park. UPDATE: I took them to POPLA, the parking ombudsman, and won my case. I had already paid the fine, which they were obliged to return. So I would strongly recommend anyone else in the same position to do likewise. It's free, easy and entirely online. Remember, when you enter a car park you have a 5 minute grace period before a parking contract is legally entered into. As you leave, you have 10 minutes (presumably for less mobile drivers to get back to their car, get in, and exit). So if you enter a car park at 1pm and purchase 1 hour of parking, you have until 2:15pm to leave. The legislation to legally enforce this has actually been stalled in parliament (presumably by an MP who is a "consultant" to one of these parking companies). However, POPLA appear to apply it to their cases regardless. Second tip. Write in to the parking company and request all the data they hold on you. They are obliged to answer with a full printout within 28 days (Freedom of Information). It's entirely useless to you, but a major pain and cost to the parking company. If everyone who gets one of these silly tickets took them to POPLA and made an FOI request, they would soon stop issuing them. I'm delighted to have cost the company several hours of their time. I should add that the problem here was parking charge company, not the business opposite whose land this is. When I contacted them they were extremely sympathetic and even wrote to the parking company to try to help. The parking company still refused, but I appreciated their efforts.
Pulled into very small carpark, carpark so small could not park my motor home. Left immediately without getting out of my vehicle. £100 fine. Appeal rejected and fine increased. Rang Citizens advice. Will see them in court if Parking eye sad enough to pursue. Be aware of this disgusting abuse.
Worked eventually but quite a faff, parking was good though
