Picked my battered car up very swiftly after my Insurence company contacted them , l showed Steve who came to Collect it the concerns he noted them all and assured me a full assessment would be undertaken ! The girls Jessica and Hannah contacted me daily , to let me know how things were going , they were also very kind on the phone as l had never experienced this before a woman drove at speed straight into my drivers side damaging all 4 panels !!!Today my car π was returned by Steve again and Rob , they waited until l had seen all that had been done which really was fantastic !!! They had also had the car valeted which was a really nice touch π Highly recommend this company and the team were great !l Thank you π
Avoid Halo Tockwith β a nightmare experience dragged out over nearly 2 years. I would strongly advise against using Halo in Tockwith. My car was sent there following an insurance claim through LV almost two years ago, and itβs been one long chain of problems ever since. The initial repair was poor β the bonnet was badly misaligned, and rubber weather seals were left unfitted. Despite returning the car multiple times, it was never properly fixed. At one point, a technician even tried to physically force the bonnet into position on my driveway β completely unprofessional and frankly alarming. Then came repeated paintwork issues: bubbling on the bonnet and lower plastic trim, sinking filler, visible sanding marks β all requiring further returns. Even after an independent assessor stepped in and recommended a full re-spray and trim replacement, the workmanship remained well below standard. I even cut my finger on hardened paint drips left under the bonnet after one repair β a clear health and safety hazard. As if that wasnβt enough, during the most recent repair I was given a petrol courtesy car β despite my own vehicle being an EV that costs about Β£10/month to run. I ended up spending over Β£80 on fuel in just two weeks, entirely due to their ongoing failures. And now, incredibly, Halo is accusing me of damaging their courtesy car β after everything I've been through. It's insulting, baseless, and adds yet another layer of stress to an already exhausting experience. This has now been the fifth time my vehicle has gone back to them, and I'm still dealing with the fallout. The inconvenience, time lost, poor workmanship, and now false accusations are simply unacceptable. Avoid Halo Tockwith at all costs β I wouldnβt wish this on anyone.
The team were brilliant from start to finish. The repairs were done quickly but perfectly!! The car was returned promptly and even cleaned inside and out!! Definitely a 5 Star service π€© Thanks to all involved at Halo, especially Rob & Steve for your professionalism.
Amazing service and excellent quality repair. We were kept informed from beginning to end. Everyone was helpful, friendly and professional. The car was collected on time and returned just a few days later. The repair was excellent and the car had been cleaned inside and out. Could not have been better. Thanks to all at the Halo York branch.
Cons: slightly difficult to find in the vast Business Park, but Reception offered to come and guide me in. Pros: clean efficient workshop and Reception, all staff focused and knowledgeable, repairs carried out much quicker than I had imagined, l assumed that the body parts must have been pre-painted as the work was carried out so quickly and to a very high standard; l had to return with the vehicle as one of the parking censors was not working or missing, but this was rectified in the time it took me to drink my coffee. Overall l would give the whole organisation a five star rating, they were brilliant from start to finish, so thank you for your wonderfull service.
