Topcliffe Village Hall

Visited this lovely hall for the first time this past weekend and it's a definite recommendation from me! Immediate impression was (after you pass through the vestibule) it's bigger on the inside than the front suggests, it's bright, spacious, and smelt nice too, a sure sign of a venue that is well taken care of by it's users! I was doing a full-on party for a 5th birthday with about 25 children. There was space enough for tables set up beside the kitchen for them all to sit and eat together (hiding behind me in the photo), plus space for the children (plus lots of adults) to all join in games together without standing on toes. An odd note but the floor was also not too slippery. Some newly refurbished halls have highly varnished floors that pose a higher slip risk, especially if bubbles are used. Not an issue at this venue! Pros - Disabled accessible ramp out the front and great size kitchen, plenty of folding tables available for a children's party too. Excellent sound absorption panels you can see in the photo that prevent that frustrating echo you can get in large halls. Might be able to be darkened enough for a Neon Glow UV party but will hopefully have to revisit to confirm! I did see lots of plug sockets around the room too. Cons - Off-street parking only BUT it's a 1 way street so parking can be on both sides and there are no restrictions to time.

Great village hall, big space, and good sized kitchen if you need to use it.
