I stayed at this hotel on 13th September and it was an utter disappointment. The shower in our room did not work at all — just a pathetic drip from the pipe — making it impossible to shower. Despite reporting the problem, no one came to fix it, and we were forced to check out early. Customer service was shocking. Staff were polite enough but completely ineffective. Had to ring a number from a note on the wall, They promised someone would attend to the issue straight away, but after 25 minutes, nobody showed up — even though housekeeping were in the same corridor as my room. I spoke to housekeeping on my way out and they had no knowledge of my issue and could not offer a solution. My request for a partial refund was flatly refused because the hotel is “small” and they don't have the profit margin apparently— their profits are not my problem. The only thing they refunded was the late checkout fee as we checked out early with not being able to shower. A functioning shower is a basic expectation for any hotel room, the lack of this facility combined with their poor customer service ruined our stay completely. Other issues to note: Road-facing rooms are extremely noisy. Corridors are dirty, with marks on the carpet everywhere. Holes in wall from previous toilet roll holder they haven't bothered to replace. Mattress is really soft and can feel the springs No non-dairy options available at breakfast. Oat milk had 'run out' apparently. Room entry keypad is painfully loud — you hear every guest entering their room with 7 beeps every time. No reception staff on weekends meaning you have to call a number, but then nobody assists you anyway. This hotel is poorly maintained and poorly managed. I would not recommend it to anyone and strongly advise avoiding it until they actually improve facilities and customer service should they suddenly decide to care.

Tired and old fashioned. Totally unsuitable for infirm people. I was in the attic with a dog...up 3 flight of stairs. No one is there ,until breakfast 6am. No dogs allowed in the dinning room, so if like me I was on my own I couldn't enjoy a breakfast in the dinning room,. The cook made me up a tray thank goodness as I waited at the other side of the door. Won't go back there again at £125 per night.

Had a lovely stay for 3 nights. So easy to get in. The bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of tea/coffee/milk/sugar. Breakfast was plentiful with a full range of options, and served with a cheerful personal touch. The car was safe in the ample car park. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Basic hotel with self check-in. Bar area no longer in service, but a basic pub close by on main road. Breakfast however was very good and staff were attentive and on the ball. Friend chose here for her birthday treat, but made a mistake, thought was near Haworth and KWVR 🤦🏻‍♂️ Don't ask🤷🏽‍♂️

This was a lovely hotel, while it is an amazing older building it is immaculately clean and feels very cosy. The digital check in and communication from the hotel worked perfectly. It was really quiet and felt very restful. It had all the amenities you would expect and there were also some places within walking distance to eat out. I would stay here again.
