Riley’s at the Rose & Crown

About

Description

The Rose & Crown was originally built in 1804, 200 years on, in 2004, award winning chef, James Riley and partner Nikki Salt established a new restaurant on the premises – Riley’s at the Rose & Crown, setting a standard of good food in Yorkshire that was much talked about, enticing new and loyal patrons from miles around.

Today, Riley’s at the Rose & Crown retains the charm of a bygone age with low beams, open fire and black and white photographs depicting scenes of local history. Now well established, James and wife, Nikki still provide the traditional Yorkshire welcome, and offer delicious classic menus with a modern twist.

Managing front of house, Nikki and her team serve locally brewed ales and carefully selected wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where regulars and new customers can chat by the fire or perhaps in the secluded garden to the rear.
