I had a really disappointing experience at this McDonald’s . The service was very slow, and to make matters worse, two of the items we ordered were completely missed. When the food did arrive, we actually found an eggshell inside — which is unacceptable for any restaurant. We showed it to the staff, but all they did was apologize and send us on our way, without offering any solution or compensation. On top of that, the sauce dispenser machine was not working at all, which was frustrating. The flat white coffee I ordered was easily the worst I’ve ever had — bitter, watery, and nothing close to what a proper flat white should taste like. The only positive thing I can mention is that the parking was good and convenient, but that hardly makes up for the overall poor experience. McDonald’s needs to seriously improve both food quality and service here Only one team member she did well give our kid a small McDonald’s gift and he loved it
Spot on. My breakfast was cooked to perfection this morning, nice coffee. Bit of clearing of trays by staff would of displayed efficient practices, I know how hard it is to develop these skills in younger members of staff, so no dramas. Car park is challenging.
A painfully slow drive thru experience. This store clearly prioritises online delivery orders, as they fly out of the door in comparison to collection or store orders. We sat over 10 mins in a queue at an order point, which it turned out wasn't being monitored (no notices on the board etc). In the the end everyone using this lane just ended up driving round to the payment window, where the stressed member of staff had just been left to manage both lanes. Then the main wait began - over 30 mins once the order was taken. We sat and waited, and waited, and waited. In then meantime, multiple delivery drivers came and went. In the end I resorted to going into the restaurant to find out what was going on. There were hardly any staff working in the kitchens, and food/orders were behind prepared very slowly. After over 25 mins staff were still putting out order together. Given that it was a Sunday evening, just after the local panto had finished, someone had either messed up the staffing rota, or was cutting staff to the bone to reduce running costs. McDonald's certainly isn't fast food at this branch, nevermind the ever increasing prices!
nice food can’t fault that, but the service is not good, order for delivery and they NEVER add the sauce i can’t recall a time i received sauce also the audacity to charge 20p per sauce and not add them is insane to me.. also they never add the straws maybe they do occasionally and drive through takes ages. i understand if they are understaffed but usually there is a lot in
It’s a lively and popular place but one of the main issues is that McDonald’s UK does not cater to the halal eating population at all. Other than the Filet-o-Fish, vegan options and salads, there is very little that someone who eats only halal can choose from. Because the options are already so limited when the food that is available doesn’t meet expectations or isn’t pleasant the disappointment feels even greater. For many halal customers visiting McDonald’s already means compromising on choice so the quality of the limited items becomes even more important. Beyond the menu limitations there also seem to be problems with the overall service. The staff often appear undertrained or unsupported and the management sometimes feels too relaxed in addressing ongoing issues. There are rarely staff members available at the tills which makes ordering more difficult for those who prefer or need face to face service. The self-service kiosks frequently run out of receipt paper and discount or reward vouchers sometimes show as “already redeemed” even when they haven’t been used. Considering McDonald’s is a major, worldwide brand with a long established reputation, customers naturally expect a higher standard both in terms of menu accessibility and customer service. With such a large and diverse customer base more effort is needed to meet the expectations of all groups including those who rely on halal food options. Overall improving training, tightening management and addressing menu inclusivity would make a significant difference.
