Asda Wakefield Dewsbury Road Supermarket

I wouldn’t normally review supermarket. But I was compelled to this time. This is the most beautifully stocked supermarket I’ve ever seen. (Not that I go round looking for that.) I felt guilty for removing something from the shelf without feeling the need of pulling the one from behind forward as everything was just so easy to see. Massive credit and respect to those filling the shelves here. From a customer perspective it was so easy to find everything. It’s a bit out of the way for me, however I think I’ll be using this more often. The pictures probably don’t do it justice.

After visiting this store early this year for the first time I was shocked by what I heard from a female member of staff. As I approached the store a middle aged female with blue dyed hair was on a cigarette break smoking directly outside the store in uniform. She was talking to a younger female colleague, expressing her thoughts about a victim it would appear by saying 'she deserves a good kick in the stomach' It was disturbing because I had the impression she was talking about a pregnant girl. On another occasion I was in the store, there were boxes all over the floor and a middle aged blonde woman just started to kick them in front of a group of young boys that were working in the aisle. The authorities appear to be mocking the safe spaces scheme here in Yorkshire by labelling this store as a registered branch for the scheme. I just thought I should warn anyone who may be concerned to steer clear of this store. Some serious thugs work here!

I shop at this store a lot because it’s right by my house. Sometimes I buy a bunch of stuff, and sometimes just a little. But every time, the security guard follows me around and stares at me, which makes me feel really uneasy. I’ve even tried saying hi to be friendly, but the guard is just rude. The worst part of shopping here is dealing with that security guard.

Prices always come up wrong on the till. Sometimes the same product will come up with the wrong price for weeks. Double check or look at your receipts!

Not used this store often, and didn't end up using today. What looked like a manager (wearing a white shirt) was front facing the fridges with the doors wide open. I was looking in the fridge next to him when he decided he'd done with his and swung the fridge doors I was looking in open nearly hitting me with the doors. Didn't say excuse me before hand just sorry after realising I had to step back to avoid being hit. Not sure if you're a manager or what but your lack of awareness of customers around you was unreal. Huffing and puffing the whole time he was in the first fridge as well. Ended up just putting my shopping back and leaving.
