Went into asda to find a beer keg that website states they stock and only 1 kind sold! Then went into costa for a brew to find it was cold and unheated but staff said heating was on but because they are near the doors it is cold ! Then opened my teapot what a joke this isn't Costas standards !!!
Waited 10miniutes at customer services today around 5pm. Poor woman was on her own and running around like a headless chicken having to leave the desk unattended several times for parcels etc… Two other younger women colleagues were doing absolutely nothing stood around self checkout s and looked over at me several times but never came across to help anyone in the rapidly increasing queue of people waiting for assistance. Ironically it said “Happy to help” on the back of their jackets!!
Convenience earns Asda one star. I happen to live nearby, so it retains my custom more than it deserves to. The standards here are pretty low. Staff are usually great, I don’t want this to reflect on them, but so much just doesn’t work. 1. I haven’t had a trolley that works properly since some time before the pandemic. 2. The mobile self scan machines regularly give up half way through your shop. 3. The self scan checkouts have various design features which are designed for loss prevention but ultimately just frustrate - for example, if using your own bags, a member of staff must verify them. This is to ensure you haven’t half filled a bag with stuff you don’t intend to pay for. Perfectly understandable, except staff NEVER check for this, so instead you just get the frustration and inconvenience of having to wait for them to not check. 4. There is an area of parking for blue badge holders and families with young children. This is frequently abused by people who have neither. And on many occasions drivers (again with neither a blue badge nor a child) even just pull up at the side of the building, not in a parking bay, blocking the area. Asda staff have no interest in challenging this despite it being frequently reported to them. 5. And last but not least of all on this not-at-all exhaustive list - the Asda rewards scheme. I’ve spent close to £200 across my last two big shops. I have earned precisely £0.00 Asda rewards. What is the point?! So, if you happen to live nearby, this is probably your supermarket of choice. If you’re lucky enough to live close to any other supermarket, go there.
Filthy. Most of the trolleys had rubbish in. Place clearly wasn't filled or faced overnight. We visited lunchtime Sunday. Huge swathes of empty shelves across the store. Home shopping staff racing their basket trolleys around like lunatics. Rubbish and various items dumped all around the store. From a retail perspective ranging seems to be ple ty short of what the store was designed for. Bays of random product pocketed here, there and everywhere. Nobody seems to care anymore, this used to be such a well presented store. To top things off, a blocked fire exit, on top of the dangerously loaded overstock all around the store. If this is indicative of the state of Asda with their new leadership, then it is doomed, and if this is a local issue, with poor leadership I would suggest regional management take decisive action. Awful presentation, terrible availability, and unsafe to top it off. Best part was hearing 3 of the staff on the chilled section discussing the absolute state the nightcrew had left the staff toilets in, one in particular questioning "what on earth do they do in there". I would hope that is pretty obvious!
Asked for a pizza making at 8.30pm to get meal deal and women told me they arnt doing them they are for tomorrow I used to work at Asda and know that is not true. Lost a customer
