Advance Dental Care

I began my journey with Advance Dental Care just over a year ago. At the age of 72 I knew I needed some serious work on my teeth. I had no back teeth and therefore my front teeth had worn down due to not only having to carry out the biting action but also the chewing. I had a very bad experience with a dentist in my late teens and since then had never properly trusted a dentist, resulting in me only visiting a dentist when a serious problem occurred. I was self conscious of the poor state of my teeth and as a result I stifled my smile. This all changed when I met Dr Lewis Butler and the whole team at ADC From the outset the team at Advanced were honest with me. They set out the steps that would be required to get my teeth back to good order and provided assurance that they were there to help. So began a steady process of work, Stage one with the hygienist getting my gums back to good order. - Stage 2 involved having 5 implants replacing the missing back teeth - 2 Upper jaw and 3 Lower jaw. Yes I was nervous about having my jaw bone drilled and having metal screwed into it, but once again the team were by my side before, during and after the work explaining what would happen and how to care for my mouth during the healing process, calling me at regular intervals to see if I had any issues. Stage 3 - reconstruction of my remaining teeth, this involved having these teeth prepared for crowns. To ensure I would have the correct bite and distribution of load across my teeth I was fitted with a set of temporary teeth, something like a gum shield but looking like teeth- lower set first followed by the upper set. It was at this point I was having some serious doubts as to what I had embarked on and prior to my next appointment I wrote to Lewis with –“As I write this I think you should know that at this moment in time, I feel as though it has been the worst decision I have ever made to have had the work done” I finished the email with –“The comforting factor for me in all this is that I fully trust you and your skill to overcome these problems.” he went through my concerns one by one and once again my faith and trust in ADC was vindicated. Lewis’s mantra is “We will carry on until Both of Us are happy with the outcome” I now have a confident smile and comfort that my teeth and gums are in a healthy place for years to come. The team at Advanced from Receptionist, Hygienists, Dental Nurses to Dr Lewis Butler have been great throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending others to put their trust and faith in Advance Dental Care.

Had numerous treatments at Advance Dental Care practice, the most recent being two upper back molar implants. I am quite an anxious patient and D Lewis Vernon Butler ensures that you are made to feel relaxed, comfortable and pain free, taking time to explain all procedures in detail and the health benefits regarding said procedures. The surgery has state of the art equipment and a relaxing reception area with refreshments whilst awaiting your appointment. All staff are welcoming, polite and friendly which makes you feel at ease. Regarding my recent implants..... I was quite nervous and unsure initially, but Dr Lewis explained all the health benefits for the longevity of my teeth, providing me with detailed information so I was able to make an informed choice. The whole process from start to finish was painfree and a better experience than having a filling. What was I worrying about?!!! So glad I had them done, dont hesitate in joining this practice, I would definately recommend.

Outstanding from start to finish. I unfortunately had to book an emergency appointment recently due to being in toothache for quite some time. Poppy, her assistants, the ladies on reception – absolutely everyone I encountered during my visit could not have done more to help me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. I will forever be grateful for such a positive experience after having such crippling anxiety about going to the dentist. Poppy performed an extraction at that very appointment with incredible professionalism. Having only had fillings before, I was terrified at the thought of an extraction, but both Poppy and her assistant truly helped put my mind at ease and made the entire process feel effortless, pain-free, and quick, with zero judgement. I was genuinely shocked when she raised the chair and told me it was finished. I saw other reviews saying the same, but I didn’t believe it… I do now! I even received a follow-up call the morning after to check how I was and to ask if I had any questions or concerns, which I very much appreciated.I will definitely be a returning customer and look forward to starting this new chapter. I’ve needed a fair bit of dentistry work over the past 2 months… Lewis and his team have been great and really accommodating, short notice appointments, going above and beyond to make me feel at ease, and not being satisfied until they had tended to every detail. They’re professional, honest, and realistic… but still managed to achieve complicated procedures to ensure all of my issues are now resolved. Keep up the passion and good work.

I’ve always been extremely nervous about visiting the dentist, but from the moment Lauren answered my initial call, everything changed. She was so kind, patient, and genuinely understanding of how anxious I felt. Her reassurance is the reason I was even able to make my first appointment. I can’t thank Poppy, Sophie, and all the dental nurses enough. They have all made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease — and even laugh! Their professionalism and support made me realise I had nothing to be nervous about after all. Every treatment I’ve had has been comfortable and completely pain-free. Thank you all so much for turning something I used to fear into such a positive experience. I’m genuinely grateful for the care, kindness, and confidence you’ve given me.
