Can’t recommend Ian enough. He’s made my life much better from various things over the years (I own a horse, anyone else who owns one knows it’s not necessary to say anything further!) and helped me through the massive inconvenience of a frozen shoulder. I had guided injections for that from Ian which didn’t work but that wasn’t the fault of the injections- they don’t always work and although I made the decision that it was worth a try my shoulder was too bad and I ended up with surgery. Ian recommended a surgeon called Professor Schilders and I was very happy with the outcome. Treatments aren’t always fun, as is necessary for anything that’s going to be effective, but he’s a really nice guy which helps plus he has good conversation skills to take your mind off it! :-) I’ve got to the age where pretty much all my friends have needed a physio for one thing or another and they all agree he’s the best. We’re really lucky to have Ian he’s a brilliant physio with magic hands- don’t hesitate to book with him.

I had a Lumbar Discectomy on the 8th January 2025, I had Amy as my physio and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to get me back on my feet. Her energy was incredible, very thoughtful and caring of others, the receptionists are always so kind and supportive. Thank you all!

I visited Back in Action a couple of weeks ago and was treated by Joanne - she clearly knows what she’s talking about, she had sussed out what was causing me to repeatedly pull my shoulder within about a minute. She’s really warm and approachable, and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. I saw her again today and was struck by how excellent she is at her job (both in a practical sense but also her manner in dealing with patients), and appears to be passionate about it too. I’m not quite fixed yet but this is totally on me as I haven’t regularly followed the exercises Jo gave me because I’m forgetful, but this is very much a me problem. And despite this, I haven’t pulled my shoulder since my first visit, which I think is the result of a combination of the adjustments Jo performed, as well as her highlighting to me what has caused the problem, and the few times I have remembered to do my exercises. The staff on reception have been lovely on both of my visits too, I highly recommend Back in Action.
