The food was delicious. Lovely entertainment on Friday evening which created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Had food in the Kirklands for the first time. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie, triple cooked chips and peas, with onion gravy. (I poured more gravy on after I took the photo). A lovely meal, plenty of meat and no gristle. Nicely presented, good price and good service. Really impressed, so we’ll be trying the Monday steak night next!
Went for tea lovely food friendly service in great surroundings Then watched a great band Bella and the blacktones Nice pub for food or music
We've just had our painters meeting AGM today. We all had a meal, and the food was super. Steak and ale pie with chips and peas was excellent. The service was first class, and the staff are wonderful. We go every month. It's a lovely pub.
Just called in for lunch on Thursday. Nice environment although a bit on the cool side. Good choice of home cooked food. Wife hD the meat pie with chips and peas. Pie was excellent, nice pastry and good portion of meat. Chips nicely cooked, triple cooked I think. I had yorkshire pudding and pork sausages. Reasonably priced but would have been happy to pay more for better quality sausages, they said no one else had complained so maybe its just me. Definitely worth a visit and a bite to eat.
