I myself (along with my accompanying P.A.) visited the terrific town of Todmorden of whom located up the calder valley out there, most recently on Friday 28th of November 2025, Despite the unexpectedly rainy weather, It was still a privilege to check out some of the shops, especially the historic todmorden market and it's stalls (some of whom had pigeons hiding beneath from the pouring rain), Even purchased some christmas cards from said todmorden market with interest... as well as ventured back over the road safely, to check out a pub called... the polished nob, for a refreshing pint of irn bru, During our visit, we even walked up to marvel at the historically imposing todmorden viaduct... that carries the calder valley mainline across/above part of the town centre and into the station which serves the town out there, I now recommend todmorden, mostly for the polished nob, the market, even that book/novel + music vinyl shop too... I would really truly look forward to revisiting todmorden again one day, hopefully in much better more sunnier weather. Both todmorden (and walsden's) rly stations are the last stops along the line, before venturing through the summit tunnel from the west riding of our white rose county of yorkshire, into greater manchester & beyond.

Nice station. A lot of flowers and pretty decorations. But no shed when it rains. Overall good.

A small yet charming English station set in very British scenery. Has a small ticket off and there is seating on the platforms. Located in the centre of town its a great place to travel through for walking or markets. The station was mostly clean and well kept.

Great little town, not glamorous but has a really good outdoor and indoor market. Lots of independent shops too. Loads of quirky pubs and wine bars along the cobbled street. Worth a visit.

A small station with a lot of character. There are plenty of facilities available, including a staffed ticket office and plenty of shelter. It's easy to get to a range of places from here, including Leeds and Manchester.
