Popped up this morning for a wander and for youngest to do a bit of bird spotting. It was very busy with locals making the most of the space for their allowed lockdown exercise but everyone friendly and keeping to appropriate distances from one another. Water sports still ongoing, we could see paddle boarders out on the lake. Youngest said they would benefit from some benches closer to the lake for bird spotters like her but a nice spot even in the November mist.

Wath Lake, lovely for a nice walk around or a picnic on a sunny day. The walk around the lake is about 1 and a half miles long, and the paths are also suitable for bicycles and Childrens scooters. There is also a cafe just off the main car park and the food is very good.

Our first visit to manvers lake and we really enjoyed it. We took the dog and she enjoyed herself. The walk around the lake was lovely and the paths are accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. There are also other walks leading off off the main path. There is plenty of wildlife about with large flocks of geese flying in while we were there. The parking is cheap and there is a cafe there selling a selection of hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes ect. The cafe is dog friendly with dishes of water dotted about for them. You can even buy a bag of dog treats for your 4 legged friends. Duck food is also available. The cafe and toilets are clean. I look forward to visiting again soon.
