First some context. Our beloved Elkhound, Harry, first met Kirsten when having hydro therapy to help with his arthritis. Kirsten then went on to act as Harry’s physiotherapist. Harry was eventually 15 and a quarter when we lost him, a day (one of many in his time with us) that will forever remain in our memories. However, 15 and a quarter is a good age for his breed. We are convinced that he achieved this milestone with the help, skills and compassion of Kirsten. We will be forever grateful for her contributions to the last 2 years of his time with us.
Hector, my Basset Hound, had several sessions of physiotherapy with Kirsten. His mobility improved greatly over the weeks he had treatment. He absolutely loved his sessions as he laid down ready for his massage and stretching. I recommend Kirsten for any any pets struggling with arthritis or similar.
Kirsten has been treating my arthritic Labrador George who also suffers with dysplasia for over a year now. After having surgery, George began a course of hydrotherapy with Operation K9 and physio sessions with Kirsten. George absolutely loves his sessions with Kirsten and her knowledge and care is incredible. At one point the vets prognosis for George post surgery was bleak but Kirsten never gave up on him and tailored a physio programme specifically to George - fast forward a year and he is now out of his wheelchair and walking again enjoying his twilight years! I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for George - none of it would be possible without the help and care from Kirsten and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anybody 🥰
Kirsten has been treating our senior dog, Roxy, for elbow/hip dysplasia and arthritis. The physiotherapy and laser treatments have made a positive impact on her mobility, she is more comfortable and a much happier dog - her quality of life has greatly improved. Roxy has multiple health issues which Kirsten continually reviews to ensure she is receiving the best treatment possible. I would highly recommend Kirsten … her level of expertise is evident, she has a calm and confident manner, which translates into a comfortable and positive physiotherapy experience, and she has a genuine compassion for animals … she truly cares about the well-being of the Roxy … she’s a great physiotherapist!
Kirsten has been working with Rosie, our 16 1/2 year old Lakeland Terrier, since March 2023. Using her massaging skills, together with exercises, Rosie's stiffness and muscle wastage in her hind limbs has improved greatly, and we are working to try to help her tightness in her neck and shoulders. The improvement has been noticed by Rosie's vet and her groomer. Kirsten is very patient with Rosie and is very thorough, always only working at Rosie's pace. We would definitely recommend Kirsten to anyone needing canine physio.
