Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the Wensleydale village of West Witton, The Fox & Hounds Inn is a friendly and welcoming family-run pub, offering a range of fine cask conditioned ales including John Smith's, Black Sheep and regular guest beers including those from the Yorkshire Dales Brewery and Salamander of Bradford, plus an excellent home cooked food menu using local produce. 'The Fox' has several active community pub sports teams including darts, quoits and (of course) dominoes. Apart from organised league matches there are regular knockouts open to all comers. Every Thursday night is a dominoes knockout and there are several open quoits knockouts per year. West Witton is a perfect base to explore the Dales and the Fox & Hounds is the perfect place to end the day! The Fox offers generous portions of traditional pub fare cooked to order on the premises and often home-made. The Fox serves its CAMRA award-winning real ales, but we also serve traditional (& not so traditional!) wines, beers and spirits, all at very competitive prices. We'll usually be serving real ales from The Yorkshire Dales Brewing Company (a big local favourite, brewed just a few miles from the village), Salamander (Bradford), Black Sheep and Theakston (both Masham).
