I am very pleased with the design of my utility room – Jeremy took the space and really used it well to get the most storage and use out of it. Positives – the quality of the cabinetry is excellent – really sturdy and robust. The quality of the paint finish is sublime – the painter took his time and having a hand painted finish makes a real difference. The design process was really good and I have substantially more storage than before, the use of the available space was excellent. Negatives – communication was not always optimal – the timetable changed a number of times without any discussion with the work was planned over a long period of time to suit the subcontractors, not the client. Part of the windowsill had to be chiselled out as it was not possible to turn the tap to full heat. Although the wine fridge would fit in the housing, you could not open the door and more post hoc work needed to be done, which partly resolved the issue but means the fridge is slightly proud of the housing – this was an existing appliance which was measured and the housing built to suit it, so not what I would have expected for bespoke fitting. One cabinet door repeatedly bangs against the worktop as the handle opens directly on to it, a poor design feature. The floor is not level even though we paid an additional amount for this.

From day one, Jeremy and his team were on hand to help us realise our dream of creating a forever kitchen that would reflect our personalities and become the focal point of our cottage. As the kitchen was being created in a new extension, we were fortunate in having a blank canvas to work with . This could have been a little daunting but the design brief meeting at Jeremy’s showroom gave us an opportunity to get our own ideas down on paper and to ask lots of questions to help us visualise the style and finish we were looking and to discuss the appliances we wanted to integrate into the design. We were absolutely delighted with Jeremy’s design proposal and the additional support we received with the finer details, such as the trip to the suppliers of our chosen work surface to choose the exact slabs of material that would be shaped to create our central island. When it came to installing the kitchen, Jeremy’s project management team were spot on. We were not living locally at the time so it was incredibly important to us that we had a team who were proactive in keeping us up to date on progress and timings - our expectations were exceeded throughout. If you are considering investing in a handmade kitchen, then take a trip to see the team at Jeremy Wood Designed Interiors … you won’t be disappointed.

Went into Jeremy Wood Accessories. I love to support small local businesses so bought some mugs. They were very well wrapped in bubble wrap however on unwrapping them at home, one of them was slightly chipped. I phoned and then emailed photo as requested. After no response, I phoned and emailed again. Eventually, a replacement mug was posted to me with a note stating ‘as a gesture of goodwill’. No apology.
