Great pub with a good selection of beers, wine and spirits. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there is a nice cosy atmosphere inside. We enjoyed a drink sitting in the front room looking out over the river. They also have a good range of Shipfaced merch.

Dropped in on passing and so glad we did as this is a delightful little place with a great selection of beers and ales ... the Old Pec was really on form and the wife and I enjoyed a few of those. The barman was super helpful to all patrons by bringing the drinks to their table whilst they sorted themselves out. Doggy friendly with great decor and very clean. It's a small place and the cosiness just adds to the charm. Recommended!

The Ship is a pleasant pub on the Whitby Pier, with a decent selection of beers, including several hand-pumped ales at moderate prices. The pub is split into different smaller sections, so it doesn't get as loud as some. The Ship is a "Cask Marque" pub, so you can trust that its beers are well-kept and fresh. They certainly were when I visited as part of a pub crawl in Whitby. The bar staff are friendly and helpful, too. The front room offers a nice view of Whitby Pier.

Nice relaxing chilled atmosphere after a long day walking around this lovely area. I didn't have any food just two drinks, sitting in front of the window watching the world go by. Two entrances, two areas of seating, pet friendly. Card accepted, but cash is preferred which is fine, as card charges taking away profits. Nice venue, will drop in again for a full session.

Traditional old pub right on the side of the river in the centre of Whitby. The place was packed on a Friday night and there was also a couple singing and playing folk songs on the guitar. I had a Butterscotch vodka, which was a special, advertised on the bar, and it was one of the tastiest drinks I've ever had....delicious! No needd for a mixer, you don't want to dilute the taste. Apparently it's made in Cartmel in the Lakes but you could buy a bottle off her for £24. Oh and you need cash to pay.
