We have just spent 3 nights at the First Port Of Call. This is our 2nd visit to this fab little apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean , cosy warm and all trimmed up for Christmas. It’s ideally located 10 mins out of Whitby centre. Lovely and peaceful. You can easily get about once you’ve parked up. The train station and bus station are just a 10/15 min walk . You can easily catch the X4 Middlesbrough bus to Sandsend, Runswick Bay and further afield Saltburn By The Sea. The train takes you to Grosmont , Goathland and Pickering. Lots of places to eat in Whitby and great little individual shops. Would definitely recommend a stay at First Port Of Call when visiting Whitby.

Just spent 2 nights here with husband. It had everything you needed and a well equipped kitchen. Very clean, decorated for Christmas so very cosy as it snowed while there. Heating very good nice and warm. Even messaged us to stay extra night if snow caused us a problem getting home. Thank You will be back.

I recently stayed at First port of call in Whitby and was really impressed. The room was spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.

This is the second time visiting The First Port of Call. We love it, perfect place to stay. Very homely, everything you need is there. It’s a cosy home from home apartment. Location is perfect, close enough to all local amenities but far enough away for a quiet peaceful break. Thank you for having us, we will back again.

This is my third or even fourth time staying at the lovely first port of call. As usual everything was spotless and so cute looking. The bed is to die for comfy!! The sofa bed is so comfy too. This time I took my 7 year old grandson with me and it was his first time in Whitby and we had a magical time. The cottage is ten mins walk from all the beaches and it’s a lovely walk down through all the shops on the way. The electric throw was a lovely touch and my grandson cuddled up with it after a day crabbing or fossil hunting. We drank hot chocolate in the yard on a night with the fairy lights on, so cozy. The washer is always a massive help and there’s everything you could need at hand. My grandson was amazed by how lovely it was. Thank you again you guys!!! It’s always a pleasure to stay in yr gorgeous cosy little haven. ❤️❤️❤️ quite annoying and unfair in my opinion to see some reviews of people moaning about space for a large family when it’s very much catered for 2-3 people with a double bed and a sofa bed. It’s not the owners fault if some people pay for a cheaper holiday and squeeze as many in as they can! If you choose to do this then really you can’t moan about not having enough space! lol!!! All appliances have been in perfect working order every time we have stayed. Bathroom is cute and cosy and the shower is compact but easy to work. Lots of storage and central heating is very easy to use. A massive plus is a having access to Netflix!!! ❤️❤️❤️
