My wife and I were I. This shop on Sunday just gone. We'd walked from central Whitby up some big hills to get there as couldn't find anywhere else open. We were staying on a caravan site about 3 miles away. We asked the lady serving us if she had any taxi numbers and she said she'd try to ring us one. All the taxis were very busy and we thought we had a long wait but the lady rang her Dad and asked him to come and pick us up and take us which he did. I'm sorry bi don't know their names but what lovely people to help two strangers out without even thinking about it. They deserve a special mention. Thank to you both.
Came in to use the post office before work, great service with good opening hours. One lady serving the shop customers, post office and checking there were only 3 customers in but doing so with a smile and having a laugh with the customers. Lots of offers to be had in store too.
Staff are often miserable, especially if you wish to use the post office facilities. You are made to feel like they’re doing you a favour so I usually avoid it if it all possible which is a shame really because obviously while using the post office you generally pick up a few items from the shop.
Staff fantastic, my son and his friend were drunk and stranded in whitby on Friday 29th March 2019, 9pm ( we live in Middlesbrough) they took the time to call me and remained at the premises looking after them until we picked them up well after 10 PM. They went above and beyond to help strangers. They deserve a pay rise !!! Xx
