The Horngarth - Luxury Lodgings in the Heart of Whitby

What a great place to stay in Whitby ! If your wanting a romantic place in the middle of Whitby this is it! The room we booked was great which was room number 4 which was recommended by the owner was superb, amazing views over Whitby across the harbour out to sea and of the Abbey. The room itself was so great and clean, great big four poster bed with a superbly comfy mattress. Lovely little touches around the room too, the little snacks, fresh orange juice, milk and water in the mini fridge where so handy, the complimentary shampoo and shower gel and body lotion where so nice and smelled great. Communication was top notch as well and the proprietor was lovely too, she owns the shop downstairs which is worth a pop in too. Parking permits where also provided as well for the local area. Made this even more of a special weekend for me and my partner thanks to this place and how special it was. Thank you so much Emma

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, spotless and very clean. We walked into the room so impressed and had a lovely 2 night stay here. Emma was also amazing, with very good and quick communication. She went above and beyond. Provided in the fridge were glasses of water, orange juice and milk alongside 2x orange Fanta cans, 2x spring waters and 2x penguin bars. We very much enjoyed getting into the dressing gowns and slippers at the end of the night to relax on the sofa and watch TV with our little tea/coffee/hot chocolate. And in the morning, if you are hungry, there were mini boxes of cereal !! :) we didn't end up eating them as we were usually in a rush out, but very helpful to those who dont want to spend money on breakfast at a cafè in the morning. In the wardrobe there are two little boxes, where some pads and tampons are provided if needed, alongside some plastic cutlery and stuff if you need it for any meals you might bring back to the hotel later on. Can't forget the hair straighteners too! In the bathroom there are also cute tiny soaps, alongside a little kit with a nail file, cotton pad and x2 cotton swabs. Thank you so much! Honestly, we miss it already. What a stunning hotel filled with thoughtfulness. We are greatful we managed to get a spot here. We may be back next year! We will see :)

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful room, very comfy bed, lots of personal touches.The owner Emma went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights at the Apartment at the end of a walking holiday and had a great time. The apartment and property was either newly renovated else impeccably maintained (or both). The kitchen was fully stocked with juice, milk, cereals and full range of beverages, bathroom with a power shower, and amazing views over the Abbey. And endless small but important details like automatic night lighting in front of the bathroom. Highly recommended!

Beautiful large rooms with top quality equipment needed for a lovely stay. Very clean. Lots of little extras left in the fridge and cupboard to make it a perfect break away. Emma and Antony so friendly and helpful always near by if needed. Central location. Highly recommend it.
