Nice and simple memorial to those that sacrificed their lives so we cloud be free.
Fabulous design, not like most traditional war memorials and well worth a few minutes of your time to take a look and pay your respects. Good seating nearby if you want to take a few minutes to reflect. No names or conflicts are inscribed on the stone.
needs bit of tlc.from.council the public can only do so much some of these costal areas suffered in WW2 and a lot. of brave lives were lost
This area is a small park by the river whose centre piece is a war memorial to those who died in World War 1 and 2 from York although no names are listed A nice area with plenty of seating.
