After alot of thinking, ive decided to post a review. When my daughter went to enrol she was told how nice the college was, and how she would most likely get a day off as she lives far and would need to catch a train. After being mislead to believe that she may have a day off she then received a timetable indicating otherwise. The timetable is so unreasonable to the point of where she has to wake up at 6am, get ready then catch the train which doesn't even arrive at the interchange (which is closer to the college than foster square). Then walk to college taking around 10/15 mins to get to college for 8.45. Also there are mostly lessons that start in the morning and then theres 4 hour gaps up until the next lesson. Now we were mislead to believe she would get a day off and her timetable would he reasonable considering her travel but unfortunately that was not the case. This has affected my daughters health, theres no balance, shes exhausted all the time due to the exhaustion shes unable to complete homework on time or at late times depriving her of sleep. Including getting to college on time because of the tiredness. I asked for the timetable to be changed so she would feel less exhausted and there would be balance, but the receptionist said they wouldnt change this for just one child, im pretty sure other children that travel would benefit from this too. However, there are children that live in Bradford who actually get the day off which clearly means they got priority over those having to travel from far which is extremely silly, and confusing, because priority should be given to those who live far which clearly didnt happen for my daughter and im extremely annoyed and frustrated because you expect the change from school to be reasonable not crazy. I thought ideExpress my feelings considering the unbalanced life my daughter has to live due to the unreasonable timetable and how she wasnt prioritised due to her having to travel from far, doesnt currently drive as she just turned 17, and has to catch a early train, walk all the way to college and come home where she then has to do excessive load of homework which i get, but if she had a day off wouldnt this have been better for her health and wellbeing? Thankyou.

To be honest, I’m CURRENTLY going to this college. At first, it was lovely, much better than the one I had initially dropped out of. It’s my second year in this college now and I’m stressed out of my mind. The times table means nothing because they FORCE you to go to extra lessons in which don’t appear on the timetables at ALL. This happens to all students, I have to wake up at 4am to be ready in time and then I’m allowed out at 4pm. On top of this, we’re forced to do 4.5 hours of work at home. All the free time they give students in year 12 is absolutely stripped away in year 13. As well as this, you can only get three lates in a school year otherwise you get a meeting…I started to get nosebleeds and headaches frequently at home. I’ve been off sick too and almost got kicked out despite genuinely not being able to attend…I also have a whole disease that they acknowledge but genuinely don’t care about. I wake up in immense pain some days and can’t walk, yet they don’t do anything about it and they fear monger until I come in. I wish I had dropped out when the stress started really getting to me and I was considering just working full time because nothing could’ve prepared me for how I feel now. I’m even being told that one of my teachers want their students to attend 2 extra lessons but, I have ZERO free time now to take those lessons, I’ve tried explaining this to my teacher in which he didn’t care at all and tried to scare me into it saying if I don’t take them then we have to do 4 extra lessons, but I HAVE NO TIME and if I miss one of the extra lessons I have for his extra lesson, I’ll get into massive trouble so….i have no idea what to do currently and I’ve just began crying myself to sleep

Dear future college students do not go to this school. From my personal experience this school put so much stress on you by giving you homework’s every day, every lesson. Kay and carol are the worst teachers. If you get them good luck

Started Year 12 here, very nice building but more importantly, the standard of education is up there! You are treated like young adults, given the freedom but not to a extent that will ruin you. Homework is CHECKED, not like secondary school where you hand it in with no guarantee that your effort at home to study will be checked. Overall, I'm impressed and would highly suggest you consider applying here.

As a parent I was unsure if my son was going to do well in new college as grange academy finished its sixth form and New college was going to be a new feeder school for Grange Academy in 2020 and my children had just got their results without sitting their GCSES my son secured a place at New college enjoyed every moment there with his tutors and peers. He has left new college in August 2022 securing good results thank you to the staff and teacher who helped him to get him where he is today. I would definitely recommend this college for further education it is one of the best education facilities that are helping young people reach their potential and achieve their goals and securing them to get on to higher education
