Saw an amazing number of birds walking round the reservoir. Definitely somewhere I'd come again. Car park can get busy though, I was early Sunday morning but it was full by the time I left a couple of hours later. Ticket machine isn't great, it swallowed my coins without providing a ticket and coin return didn't give them all back so I then had to pay on the ringo app as well
Absolutely stunning area and flat ground, making it accessibleto all. The little birds around this area are really tame and come extremely close. Improvements are being made all the time. There are benches dotted all around so you can sit and take in the scenery and wildlife. Small parking fee, but this goes towards the improvements around the walkways, so it's all for a good cause. There is a small cafe for refreshments, play area and picnic benches.
Free parking for disabled, but there are only two spots and they are very tricky to find.
good place to stop for walking. worsbrough mill, worsbrough reservoir, birdwell wood or further to wentworth castle. A clean toilets are in worsbrough mill. all day parking is £3.
Fantastic place to park for a lovely walk around the res , taking in all the nature on your travels .
