Lovely staff and a cosy cafe. Food was nice but a bit overpriced. One full English, 1 veggie breakfast and 2 hot drinks was over £33. Husband wasn't happy he only had 1 sausage... Bubble and squeak instead of proper hash browns wasn't acceptable! Pleasant visit but won't be back. Glad we left when we did as a bouncy dog arrived as we were getting our coats on.. Dogs have no place in food establishments...

Really friendly staff. Family drinks and cake. We had carrot cake that tasted delicious and great value with generous portion sizes. Kids were looked after in possibly the best family friendly cafe we've ever been in.

There's probably only been a handful of times where I've had to queue to get in somewhere. In the USA, London, and Bruks - York. Place has a small, rustic feel to it. I've no idea who decided it was a good idea to add bubble and squeak to a vegetarian breakfast, but it works. My only issue is that I was still hungry after, but that's more on me. I guess I need bigger portions! Otherwise, I'm definitely visiting again.

Absolutely fantastic! Came here as a solo traveller and the waitress was very kind to me, my order was taken in a very reasonable time frame and they accommodated me so well on a busy day. Ordered the English Breakfast, took a bite of the mushrooms and almost cried because it tasted just how my mum used to make it when I was little!! Superb and would definitely come again :)

Wonderful little café on a quiet corner of York city. Friendly atmosphere and great service. Liked that they have an accessible toilet and they obviously are strong community partners. Guide dog friendly with a seating area outside and a water bowl for the pooch. The coffee cake was delicious as was my latte. And it was in a large cup!! Also like that Jo and Katie both say #SconeAsIGone!
