The Chinese black menu is an absolute gem for anyone who loves bold, authentic flavors. I ordered the stir-fried beef slices and the stir-fried squid with chives, and both dishes were outstanding. The beef was tender and fresh, while the squid absorbed every layer of flavor. Joseph provided warm and attentive service, and the iced lemon tea he made was truly out of this world. Highly recommended!
The boiled fish here is absolutely amazing — rich, fragrant, and bursting with authentic Sichuan flavor! The lamb spine hotpot is incredible too — just over £16 for a huge portion packed with tender, flavorful meat that falls right off the bone. One bite and it instantly takes you back to China! The staff are also super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. If you love **real Chinese food**, make sure to ask the staff for the **Chinese menu** — that’s where all the hidden gems are!
Szechuan York is honestly the best Chinese restaurant in the UK! The food is super tasty, full of flavor, and always fresh and hot. The service is amazing — everyone is so friendly, kind, and helpful. You can really feel they care about every customer. Perfect spot for a fun meal with friends or family. Highly recommend!
Popped in for lunch on our Christmas shopping trip toYork. We are so glad we found this place the food is amazing. Cooked fresh to order piping hot and so much of it. Chicken sweetcorn soup boiling hot and so tasty. Chicken wings with Salt and pepper cooked fresh tasty and boilng hot. Sweet sour Chicken with egg fried rice came as part of menu deal. It was a huge portion couldn't finish it. Really recommend this restaurant. The staff are really helpful and attentive. We will revisit again well worth the money.
I think it is an excellent Sichuan restaurant. The portion of pickled fish is not too much and the soup base is very spicy but not bad. The fried rice is clearly a good choice. I believe the most famous one in the ID store is the clay pot. For example, the sausage pot we ordered this time was very good in taste and quantity. I was disappointed with the soup. I don’t recommend it.
