Description

Sugar Mouse Luxury Confectionery Ltd was set up in 2010 by former newspaper and broadcast journalist Angela Spencer. Her aim was to create a magical sweet shop where everyone’s favourite treats beckoned in gleaming glass jars and where old fashioned customer service meant there was always time for all because “choosing is the best part”.

The little shop with a big heart opened in Easingwold on Saturday 18 September, Angela’s late father’s birthday (you’ll always find his favourite Peanut Brittle, Uncle Joe’s Mint Balls and Chocolate Brazils in stock).

Since then Sugar Mouse has grown an enviable reputation for quality confectionery, much of which is produced in Yorkshire, including cakepops and miniature cupcakes made in Angela’s home kitchen.

Dubbed “the happy shop” and “the best shop in the world” by its regulars, it’s a place where bespoke packaging turns “a quarter of” something into a delightful gift, and where there’s a tangible quirky atmosphere that even the great Willy Wonka himself would be proud of.
