Tractor Technician/Mechanic
<p>I am currently working with an impressive family-run agricultural business located between Harrogate and York, making it easily commutable from York, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough and surrounding areas.</p> <p>They are looking to recruit a practical, hands-on Agricultural Mechanic / Tractor Technician to join their team, responsible for servicing and maintaining their fleet of agricultural machinery.</p> <p>Formal qualifications are not essential, the most important thing is solid, demonstrable experience with tractor servicing and repairs. Applications are welcomed from all levels of experience. </p> <p>The Role</p> <ul> <li>Based primarily at the on-site workshop</li><li>Occasional travel to one of five nearby sites to attend breakdowns and carry out repairs</li><li>Working as part of a small, supportive team</li><li>Following service sheets and planned maintenance schedules</li><li>Carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs</li><li>Communicating with managers regarding maintenance needs and repair work</li></ul> <p>Experience & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of agricultural machinery, particularly tractors</li><li>Experience working with older Massey Ferguson tractors would be an advantage</li><li>Familiarity with JCB Loadall telehandlers would be beneficial</li><li>MIG welding experience desirable but not essential</li><li>Basic computer skills helpful (training can be provided)</li><li>An agricultural background would be advantageous</li></ul> <p>This is a great opportunity for a reliable and capable mechanic who enjoys a varied, hands-on role within a supportive and well-established family business.</p> <p><br /></p>
