We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is amazing. It's right on the river within walking distance of local shops and there's also a bus to York from the village. The facilities on the site are superb, the bathrooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The cafe served tasty food and we got to sit in one of the little domes and enjoy our breakfast with a beautiful view. There's also boat hire available which we took advantage of and thoroughly enjoyed. There's plenty of lovely walks along the river and around the local area, a good play area for the children and laundry facilities available. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's just overall a fantastic place to stay and we will definitely be back 😄
Lovely little site close to a good bus service to York. Great toilets and showers. Would have given an easy 5 stars except for a group of workmen (unsure whether they were Riverfront staff) who assembled in the cafe pod next to our pitch (no 3) each morning before 8am, speaking loudly and sometimes with strong language. Apart from that, perfect!
Had a lovely weekend. Ideal spot for catching the no11 bus into York, family return ticket 9.50 (for two of us). Everything was spotless. However, might be better if the shower block wasn't cleaned in the morning (8am) when everyone wants to use the facilities, kept having to move out the way while getting ready, it's a very small toilet/shower block. Had Sunday lunch at the bosun which was excellent.
Another amazing stay at the Riverfront. Wide, spacious fully serviced pitches in a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Lovely food and drink from the onsite cafe bar with bathroom facilities that are 5 star! Spotlessly clean and luxurious - highly recommended. Already planning our next visit.
Stayed at the Riverfront campsite for 3 days last week and was so impressed the location was great overlooking the boats and we had sandwiches sitting in the class domes on the riverbank it was so relaxing.The site was kept in immaculate condition as was the toilets and showers. We will be returning next year for sure. We would recommend the site as in our opinion its one of the nicest we have been to. Keep up the good work. Yvonne Dave
