Walmgate Bar Post Office

The staff working on the afternoon of 13 January was very rude. I honestly felt this may have been racial discrimination. They were friendly and smiling with the customer before me, but when it was my turn — before I had even said anything — their attitude completely changed. Their tone was unpleasant and made me feel very uncomfortable.

My experience in this Store was thoroughly appalling. I came to collect a redirected parcel which didn't need any qr codes or numbers, royal mail told me I only needed a form of ID which matched the name and address on the parcel. After standing first in line for over 20 mins listening to the staff moan about how they didn't want to be at work and serving people who came in after me they finally decided to speak to me and tell me to come back tomorrow because they couldn't work the technology. I expressed that it said on the email I received that I only needed to provide proof of ID to pick up and that the parcel was only routed to the post office because I needed it urgently. The staff proceeded to get rude and argumentative with me, taking any chance they could to speak with other customers instead of solving my problem and being in a foul mood with me for no reason at all. I even watched someone else pick up their package while I was stood there like an idiot in line being fobbed off for half an hour. I think it's entirely ridiculous that my parcel is sat behind them right now and they couldn't find the single Braincell between the two of them needed to turn around and pick up a parcel and match the name and address to my ID. If you literally ever want to lay hands on your parcel don't get it delivered here.

One of the staff was very rude, talked to me in such a nasty tone just for asking questions about my Amazon parcel that I couldn’t collect due to their machine being broken. I went back again today after two days, machine was still broken so I couldn’t collect it, but this time the worker was polite which was nice. Do recommend for others to get ur parcel delivered elsewhere in the future.

They refused a package because they thought it was too heavy, said it was 26kg. It was 15.9kg, which is verifiable on the product website as well as my own scales. This has now cost me a considerable amount of money to rectify with the customer.
