The Cheesecake Guy

I didn’t know it was possible to pack so much flavour into a small bite size cheese cake - but it is. Absolutely delicious and worth the price! I would definitely return here.

Proper cheesecake, the type of cheesecake that makes you think you won't be satisfied with supermarket brands ever again. Its been a while since we have found cheesecake this nice, you know its good when you are still talking about it days later and remember the taste. The staff in the shop were lovely, a very small shop but that's part of the Shambles experience. Its such a shame we live so far away otherwise I think we'd be regular visitors.

I visited York for the day with my boyfriend and stumbled across this quaint shop called, The Cheesecake Guy, in the Shambles. As I peered in the window, window shopping, a friendly voice spoke to me and I'd soon find out he was the owner. We all had a lovely chat together and I couldn't resist buying one of his cheesecakes because he was genuinely hospitable. He recommend the vanilla and, well, what can I say? Absolutely Beautiful! I'm a fan of cheesecake but I often find them too sweet and gritty due to the sugar content and texture. This cheesecake was smooth, creamy, and not too sweet and sickly. It was all the right things. My boyfriend doesn't like cheesecake but was a fan of this one, so much so, that after we left the shop continuing our journey along the Shambles, he (unfortunately for me) devoured the rest of the slice. The other staff members were warm and polite, too. When I'm back in York, I'm definitely visiting here again!

Right when my sister and I walked in, we were greeted with friendly conversation and delicious cheesecake indeed. I would recommend you don’t miss this gem.

Probably one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! We bought two of the size below the slices and they were just enough. We tried the raspberry and white chocolate and the Bueno. Great little shop which you must visit whilst in York!
