Matalan

Bought led tealight from shelf. It was nearly Halloween. So it was represented like its on sale. Paid £5. Came home, saw the sticker, originally it was £4. Not a good place to buy special item on special festivals.

The last two times I have visited the shop with my elderly mother who is in a wheelchair, we have been disgusted with the filthy state of the disabled toilet, human excrement on the wall,toilet seat and toilet roll, no soap whatsoever, and a toilet seat that had fallen on the floor, it smelt disgusting the whole room had put a complaint in a few weeks ago, but nothing has improved,this needs addressing as soon as possible

A good range of clothes and homeward here. I was very disappointed that there was no one actually serving at the checkout as they were all self service tills. I had quite a few items to scan, had finished and paid and was folding the clothes to put into my bag and an assistant came over and told me before I put the items in my bag I had to scan them. I explained that I had in fact paid and was folding the clothes. She questioned this and i had to produce my receipt before she let me carry on. I object strongly to being treated like this. If the shop is going to question people in this way then they should provide an actual person to serve instead of cutting costs in this way. Not a good experience.

Shop seemed disorganised with a poor selection of kids' clothes (age 10). I haven't shopped in matalan for a few years and won't be rushing back.

I visited this store on Sunday, first time since lockdown and I was hugely disappointed. The products on sale were fine but when it came to paying, it was chaos. No-one knew what they were doing hence an almighty queue. Please please bring back the girls on the tills. Until that happens I think I will be staying away.
