Terrible Customer Service throughout our experience with Hammonds would not recommend. Ordered unit in October. We are now on our 3rd fitting date for what was supposed to be a single day 1 unit. There has been no communication or customer care at any level provided from Hammonds. Regarding our fitter I almost feel sorry for the guy, if he is sent rubbish, damaged units which are not the correct spec, what options does he really have? Now we are stuck in limbo again, with me chasing, and no communication from Hammond's side. Utterly disgraceful behaviour. They should all be ashamed to call themselves professionals. Reflecting back to when we first made the order in October I can't help but think that the Hammond's website currently reads the biggest christmas cracker joke of all time: 'Order Now, Fit in January'. Since posting a larger more detailed review on Trust Pilot I since received the following - Hi, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We're truly sorry to hear how frustrating and disheartening this has been for you, especially during a time when you were hoping to have everything completed for the holidays. It’s incredibly disappointing to hear about the repeated delays, incorrect components, and lack of communication throughout your project, this is not the level of service we aim to provide. We understand how upsetting it must have been to have your home disrupted for so long with no clear resolution in sight. I’ve passed this over to our senior team, who have now raised a case to ensure someone contacts you directly to offer reassurance and outline the next steps. We genuinely appreciate your patience and hope we can put things right. Kind regards, The Hammonds Team I have not been contacted. This is how they treat customers who have already paid money? Avoid at all costs !!

My daughter and I visited Hammond’s to check out the wardrobe range. I am looking for a fitted wardrobe that doesn’t break the bank but will also stand the test of time. Neji was extremely professional in his approach listening to my queries and giving me considered answers about the wardrobes as he showed us round. We had just been looking at Ikea Pax as an option and Sharps had given my partner a whopping quotation so I wasn’t sure of the price point. He was very helpful and I appreciated his humour and helpfulness. We have booked a designer to visit and give us a quote.

Neji was clearly passionate about the products that Hammonds sell. As soon as we entered he left his desk to greet us and gave us a guided tour of the fitted furniture that was on display. He was thorough and informative without being overbearing. Though we don't have the funds to buy from Hammonds yet we know that we will be coming back after the fantastic customer service we received.

Fitted wardrobe which was supposed to be 'With a sleek finish and high-quality components' started to peel off! not just one door, the whole wardrobe! Left number of messages & calls to service as still in warranty - but no one is bothered to even call me back... So will suggest shoppers not to be bothered with them and find a better supplier.

I had a designer come and design three rooms for me. Then followed by a surveyor on the 10th March. It became apparent that one room was not going to work the designer had cupboards over a hatch in the ceiling as well as advised that the location of the draws in the office was not ideal. I signed off two of the other rooms and did not sign off the office with consultation with the surveyor. I want time to rethink the office. I was not contacted by anyone following this I had to until Thursday via a text from the designer. I responded saying it won't work I want time to rethink I appreciate the designers efforts but ultimately they designed something that didn't work. I asked for the funds of the office to be moved or that order to be cancelled. That's when the problems started. I've had little to no response to that message. I've chased I called the York office they send me to head office. I've called the customer care line several times and then I've also used the account page to raise two contacts with them guess what no response.so I called them and waited 10min and then I was told it's fine someone would contact me. But radio silence but guess what I did get contacted today to pay for the office and the other rooms that are due install . So poor. Best bit on the account the rooms I signed off show as ok and the office still says survey as I assume because I didn't sign it off but sure we will chase payment for that room. I would potentially use them again but I would suggest they get surveyors to consult the designers for potential design flaws. However if this continues without resolution I'm afraid I would suggest avoiding them. Update 22/04 Continued poor service After having my install date moves several times due to installer injuries I'm losing confidence. My confidence in the remainder of the process is low due to recent events concerning the installation. The install was rescheduled twice by Hammonds, first due to an installer hurting his shoulder, and now again by a different installer for the same reason. This recurring issue suggests there may be a problem with staff training or practices at Hammonds. So not only am I concerned that I have paid in full in good faith and I might never get the cupboards but that I am also worried about the wellbeing of the installers. I've also had radio silence since the date moving to try clarify and get an improvement date. In short stay away if you can
