We had a fantastic experience at Oak Furnitureland Birstall thanks to Gemma, who was extremely helpful without being pushy. From the moment we walked in, she simply asked what we were looking for and then gave us the space to browse at our own pace. It made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. With just 15 minutes to go before closing, my husband dashed back to place an order for a beautiful dining table and chairs set we had our eye on. Despite the time, Gemma went through everything thoroughly and made sure we were completely confident with our purchase. Her customer service was faultless. One of the things we really appreciated was that we didn’t yet have a completion date for our new house, so we were unsure about when the table could be delivered. Gemma reassured us that it wasn’t a problem and that she would keep pushing the delivery date forward until we were ready—which took a huge weight off our shoulders. Now that the table and chairs have arrived, we’re absolutely thrilled—they look stunning in our dining room. Couldn’t be happier with both the product and the service. Highly recommend!
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Outstanding Service From Start to Finish! I recently visited the Oak Furniture Land store at Junction 27 in Leeds with my uncle, and the experience was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Dexter, who looked after us in store, went above and beyond. He offered thoughtful recommendations, rearranged furniture on the shop floor so my uncle didn’t have to walk to the back of the store, and even made him a cup of tea while they sat and chatted. His kindness and patience made the visit incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We placed an order during our visit, and the delivery was just as impressive. It arrived exactly on the date promised, and the delivery team—Dean and Matt—were fantastic. They called ten minutes before arriving and were polite, cheerful, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Overall, the service from both the store and the delivery team has been outstanding. Truly a five-star experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oak Furniture Land to anyone looking for quality furniture and exceptional customer care.
This review does not relate to the staff in store, our salesperson was extremely helpful, patient and not pushy whatsoever. We purchased a dining table with 6 chairs 2 months ago. We are still without a dining table and chairs. We also purchased premium delivery which given our first attempt was at 7pm and our second attempt was at 9.15pm I would say isnt premium at all. First attempt - table broken so we refused the chairs also as we didn’t want 6 chairs filling our dining room without knowing how long a replacement would take. Delivery driver said the table and chairs would just be destroyed and not repaired even though chairs weren’t faulty. Following day customer service said a replacement table was available almost immediately but chairs were out of stock (even though we had just returned the same chairs hours earlier?!) Compensation wouldn’t be discussed at this point “incase there were any further problems” - think this shows how much trust they have in their own company and products. We were now with out a dining table as we sold our previous one to make space. Next delivery would be a month later - promised that the items would be quality checked. Second delivery… box had a sticker to say quality checked … table completely smashed to pieces. These products are not cheap at all, but seems the price tag is purely to recoup costs from all the damage and wastage. Christmas 2025 now at risk of being without a dining table. Absolutely will not be purchasing anything from this company again.
This review is in no way a reflection of the staff in Birstall. They were great when we went in and asked for information. However, we've had to write a review up due to the poor experience we've had after ordering. Ordered an Eastley Chaise sofa online on the 19th September. Sofa was delivered on December 3rd with two chaise sections and no middle section. Customer services reached out after hearing this and the best they could do is rebook delivery in again...for March 2026. We were told this is because the sofas are made to order and there is absolutely no way the item can be made/delivered quicker. However, for any sort of compensation to even be discussed, we would have to wait until the item is redelivered. The only gesture they were willing to give at the current time is delivery fee back which is laughable compared to the price of the sofa. Also, I was told that if I accepted the delivery fee back now, it would be impossible to receive any other compensation going forward. Unfortunately, we have found it impossible to find a sofa elsewhere with the same colour and style. Otherwise, we would have cancelled the order straight away and gladly taken our custom elsewhere. Instead, we're having to wait another 3 months for the sofa we paid for in full back in September. Also, at no point do we expect to be given unrealistic amounts of compensation for this, but the current level of customer service has been shocking. Nothing has been done to even attempt at making this easier or right for us. The customer service rep on the phone was apologetic but ultimately useless, as his message was essentially that there was nothing they could do. Not good enough. Would not buy from here again.
My daughter & her partner ordered & paid for a sofa from here in March/April, it’s only just been delivered in August due to their error, an error they basically told them to suck it up taking zero responsibility, they hadn’t even ordered it, then it was on sale and they wouldn't honour the sale price. Terrible service, even charged them for “premium delivery” with a slot of 7pm-10pm at night, that’s not what I’d call a premium slot! Personally I’ve have asked for refund and gone elsewhere, but my daughter wanted this particular sofa - which is nice. We won’t buy from them again ourselves after this. The least they could have done is honour the sale price after their mistake or refund the delivery cost.
